Littleton vs Fort Collins

Hey All,

My hubby two tiny tots and I are in a bit of a rut living in Foco lately. I'm not sure if it's being sooo far from the Denver metro or just being in small kiddo fog but, I'm struggling here with the monotonous daily activities and stuff to do or lack there of. I'm really considering a move to the Littleton area because of the close proximity to the mountains, Denver metro and the airport. We've been to the downtown area and love it but that's as far as we've gone into town. I've heard the schools are great and the food is much better and diverse. What are your thoughts on the town itself? Safety? Schools? Stuff to do for families and overall living? Any and all thoughts are welcomed!

Thanks guys!

Parker vs. Fort Collins

Hey All,

We (hubby and small kiddos) are in a bit of a rut lately and are looking to possibly make a move to the Parker area from Fort Collins. We love living in Foco but are maybe getting a bit bored and are possibly needing a change. I stumbled upon a video on Parker and loved what I heard about living there and drove into town with my toddlers yesterday. It's very cute and quiant but it looks like we might run into some of the same issues there. We truly do love Foco but---it does get a bit monotonous with small children and finding things to do while being so far away from "stuff" kind of gets to me. I guess my question is, how do you like living and raising your kids in Parker? How's the safety, things to do, closer proximity to Denver and the mountains affected you life in a positive or negative way? Would you stay and find appreciation in the nuances that Fort Collins has to offer? Any and all input is welcome!

Thanks, guys!

What to do?

Hey all,

I bought a house with immense differed maintenance --including every patch of dirt on this property. This patch of dirt is a collection of dirt, rocks, old tattered garden fabric and LOTS of weeds. I live in Colorado and don't particularly have a green thumb but I'm willing to get my hands dirty. I want to kind of do something that's low maintenance. I love the idea of black-eyed Susan's being added to this. What would you do and how would I go about this?

Thanks, guys

Considering a move from Colorado

Hi all,

My hubby, myself, and two toddlers are considering a job transfer to OP from Fort Collins Colorado. How are you families of littles enjoying your life there? Safety, schools, things to do for toddlers/kids? Family friendly? We are considering this move because prices are getting extremely expensive here and want to start saving for our girls futures. Any advice/thoughts are welcomed!

Thanks guys!

Going back to school at 40

Hi all,

I'm currently a stay-at-home mama to two kiddos and feel like I now have the "time" to go for my bachelor's degree fully online as a transfer student. I've been researching a lot about Healthcare Management and really love everything I'm hearing about it except...I'm hearing that those of you who have graduated are having a hard time finding a position after graduating. I don't want to make a bad decision and go for this degree if it's not going to make me any money after paying for college out of pocket. Please advise and suggest a lucrative career I could now pursue as a woman in my 40s who can only do online schooling. Thanks, guys!

West Roseville

Hey all,

I recently put up a post about moving to the Roseville area from Colorado in a price point under 600k for a 4 bedroom. It sounds like from everyone's comments that it's almost unheard of in that price point. I'm now shifting towards possible Winding Creek area where finding that kind of a home is still doable. How do you all like the neighborhood? Schools?( I have two littles), and also your experience with new home sales and quality?

Thanks guys!

Moving from Colorado

Hi all,

My family and I will be relocating from Colorado this Fall and will be looking at buying in the central Roseville area in under the 600k price point. Is it still possible to get a home with a decent size backyard with 4 bedrooms? I should clarify, we are not into new home sales and are looking more at resale homes. We live in a 1970's fixer and are looking more along the lines of what we have now. Thanks guys!

Hey guys,

Can any of you give your opinion on what it's like to live in a large master planned community in town? Does anyone have any input on what it's like to live in Prairie Song specifically and if the hoa is tolerable?

Thank you!

Hi all,

My husband, myself and our two small kiddos are planning to move to Windsor sometime this year or early next year. What neighborhoods would you consider to be extremely safe with good schools? Our budget will be around $520k if that helps. We don't want a super new build but are okay with homes built in the early 2000's and earlier. Thanks, guys!
