As a fellow dasher this is unacceptable.

I ordered some stuff from a local grocery store I put CONTACT ME if my item is out. No contact just the item was marked as unavailable. So I go and I pick a substitute, the dasher doesn’t bother to shop that item even though I was immediately responsive and they were still in the area that had that item for other items. I need the item for a job tomorrow. The dasher leaves it for the end and marks that the substitution is unavailable no communication from them, no pictures of alternatives. I got a little upset and sent a message to please send pics of substitutions next time. No response so I got upset and contacted support because the whole reason I used door dash is I wanted the stuff immediately and didn’t want to deal with Walmart+ they gave me credit and that’s cool because then I can go and repurchase what I need. Though I shouldn’t have to. Then when they delivered my front door was propped open because the neighbor kids have no clue what security is. (I have a note about that in my delivery notes too to buzz even if the door is propped open.) This lazy a—hat leaves my stuff outside and takes a pic you can’t even see the surroundings or the difference between my apartment building and the other 12 or so almost identical buildings that are in this community. I contacted support again and told them I don’t want the dasher to deliver to me again. My gf called me a Karen. I feel like my anger is justified. AITA?

Hope they don’t expect us to deliver these from Home Depot!

I don’t know how you would fit this in any car I saw a guy getting some in a pickup truck.

Craziest mix up ever

So as I was doing an order another one came in for one item and it only added FEET on my order so I took the add on. It ended up being for a sensitive item (incontinence products) of all things! And when I went to deliver the first package it prompted me to deliver the second package to the apartment number across the hall because the GPS couldn’t tell I was too far off! When normally it will even if the customer puts the pin in a slightly off spot vs where they want it, so I went back out to the car to grab the second one. I get a message that I delivered to the wrong complex oops. Omg 😱 oops. I went back and fixed it but wow.

Angry Bird

I went to deliver Baskin Robins to an appartment and this bird was walking where I was trying to deliver, it made an angry yell at me. I turned on my camera and took pics and a video.

Getting tired of the inaccurate item descriptions

Got dinged for the wrong item. The tag/description doesn’t match the product. And this has been happening all week. Also I get orders where the location pictures are 12 months ago and then the item is no longer even sold at that store.

Lazy bakery decorating or is this a store design?

I was door dashing yesterday and I saw these donuts and I had to take a picture. Those don’t look appetizing at all 😂

This was the “customer approved solution” my guess is they picked the “let the app suggest replacements” option. It’s dog treats when they got a bunch of food for human consumption. I sent a message like “did you mean to select this as the replacement it’s dog treats, is there something else you want they don’t have another kind of bacon” they ended up asking me for jerky instead. Definitely one of my more memorable deliveries 😂 (beyond that I’ve never been greeted in the lobby of an apartment before by a woman without pants on)
