New tracks are here on Nintendo Music!

And you best believe I’m listening to Plessie Ride!

What are you listening to in the 3D World/Land drop?

RIP MKWorldRadio

MKWorldRadio was a web app that hosted the entire Mario Kart World music catalog. It was not unique in that regard, but what made it special was the arrangements of the track music. The maker of the app stitched together the Intro, main theme and outro into a seamless song. They were by far the best arrangements of these songs I've found anywhere.

MKWorldRadio has gone to the big FLAC player in the sky. It is survived by several collections on YouTube, and the official Nintendo Music release.

Thank you to whoever made it!

Work of art

I just want to share my appreciation for the person at Nintendo who made this photo for the Space Junk Galaxy song in the Nintendo Music. Using the floating dandelion seeds and a background blur in Dandelion Depths cave to create what looks like Space Junk Galaxy in the background is marvelously creative. 🪐

My guess is making all these photos is part of the reason it takes so long to release the music. It’s a small thing, and not every one is so perfectly done, but I really enjoy them.

What’s your favorite?

What’s the story?

I am playing SMG1 for the first time. I am at 60 stars and just unlocked the center of the universe.

I’ve been hearing for years that SMG1 has a good story and “more of a story than other Mario games”, but I feel like there isn’t much of a story so far. Bowser kidnapped Peach. Luigi is getting lost. Rosalina needs gasoline for her space minivan.

Is the story heavily back-loaded in the end-game? I feel like I’m missing something.

No spoilers if you can help it! Just want to know if I’m in for a late game lore-dump/plot-twist or something.

Can you replace batteries on Window & Door Sensors (Get 3)?

I recently purchased several Window & Door Sensors (Get 3). I have several of the Gen 2 and changing batteries is a breeze. When I opened the Gen 3, I noticed a screw securing a plastic cover over the batteries - new to this generation. I tried to remove this screw but it was too tight to budge. I opened a second sensor, same thing. Is this battery cover intended to be removed? If so, how? The device manual avoids the topic of battery replacement, which seems odd. Website isn't helpful either.
