Ugh!!! Feminist rant here - I love my last name and I’d be fine with hyphenating it, but (maybe this is so so rare) I’d only want to hyphenate it if my future fiancé did it too. The woman taking the man’s last name is an old tradition rooted in the women’s identity becoming their husbands (ew 🤢). If we hyphenate both mine and my future husbands that would be great and imo symbolize coming together and building a life together.
Also - I’d want my future kids to have my last name (or me and my future husbands last name hyphenated together). After all, the man would just have a 10 second ejaculation while I would have spent 9 months carrying a baby and ripping my body apart. Why should the baby get the men’s last name?
What did you all as feminists do to combat this? Is anyone as upset at these traditions as I am or am I crazy?
I understand changing last names because of ease. If mom, dad and baby have the same last name I’m sure it’s easier.
Let me know your thoughts, what you did, and also if this is a crazy ask.

I went from being horny af this weekend (ovulating) to immediately picking fights with my boyfriend today. Do you all experience this? I was just immediately slightly fed up already when I saw him. How do you all combat this? I love him so much and it feels irrational and not myself.
(When I mean picking fights I don’t mean big ones, just like I bring up annoyances and we have small bickering moments lol)

I’ve watched and loved Paradise, The Pitt, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones (obviously there are a few seasons that are exceptions). I need some show recommendations that are fast-ish paced.
