Det förekommer nationella i både svenska och engelska, men det muntliga och skriftliga som bedöms är mestadels subjektivt. Om många i klassen presterar bra blir det svårare att få bra betyg. Upplägget varierar mycket i kurser beroende på vilken skola man går på och lärare man har.
Läraren väljer också själv om de vill bedöma utifrån nationella prov eller inte. Vissa lärare har hårdare upplägg än andra och är mer stränga med sina bedömningar samt bedömer subjektivt. Det är ännu värre i andra kurser där det inte finns något obligatorisk nationellt prov av Skolverket. Det blir mycket upp till läraren att bedöma.
Dock får man ju mer förkunskaper inför högskolan, men betyg är mycket på papper. Antagning.se kommer enbart att titta på betyget läraren satte på pappret och det spelar inte roll om du förtjänade ett lägre eller högre betyg. Förkunskaper blir inte till ens fördel om man inte blir antagen till något bra
