Recommendations for Singapore Michelin Star Restaurants

Context: I'm a Singaporean living in Singapore. Decided to ask here instead of over at the SG Reddit side coz michelin-star related questions are usually just downvoted / snubbed.

I did 9 stars in Singapore (Candlenut, Labyrinth X 2, Table 65, Summer Palace and Shisen Hanten X 2) and the overall experience was generally just above average to downright bad. Shisen Hanten was the worst. Went when it was still 2* and did it twice to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt that the chef was having a bad day on my first visit. Both visits failed. The following year, they got downgraded to 1* and I gave up completely on the Michelin experience in Singapore.

Went on to do 21 stars across Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto and Nagoya and still loving the experiences there (there's a miss once in a while but this is rare and few).

Considering how competitive the fine dining scene has become in Singapore the past 2-3 years, Im hoping the Michelin restaurants here would have improved and hence will like to ask for recommendations on which should I visit. I've heard alot about Odettee, so that's in my list. Any others I should visit too? Just no Japanese options coz I can cover that on my Japan trips. Thank you very much.

Tourist-friendly / Eng-speaking Doc in Sakae area

Will be visiting Nagoya next month and just creating a list of clinics I can visit in the event of medical emergencies / sickness. We usually bring a small medical kit along but always good to have docs on hand to visit. We will be staying near Oasis 21. Appreciate any inputs.

Question for Magic The Gathering Players in Osaka

I collect vintage English mtg foil cards. In my past 2 trips, I've been to Hareruya (both Namba and Umeda), DragonStar Den Den, Yellow Submarine Den Den and Big Magic. So far, Hareruya Namba and Dragonstar Den Den have the best variety of vintage foils (based on what I see in the display cabinet). Are there any places I've missed out?

Question on Youtrip Perk with Trip.com own's discount voucher

Has anyone tried combining both and still get the 12% cashback as promoted by YouTrip? By own discount voucher I'm referring to those promo vouchers given within the Trip.com app itself rather than promo codes from elsewhere.

Will be visiting Nagoya end of May and will have a day on my own for my Otaku stuff. A few questions:

Q1. From what I've gathered, most toys related stuff are at Osu street area. The main toy shops are Mandarake, Jungle, Lashingbang and 2 Surugayas. Any others I miss out for Osu area?

Q2. I will be living in the Sakae area. There's a Surugaya there. Any toy shops I missed out in Sakae?

Q3. For the area around Nagoya Station, there's a Suru and a Lashingbang. Any others to check out?

Q4: If you only have time for 3 MTG shops, which would you recommend? Preferably in the Osu / Sakae area.

Thank you very much !!!

As above. We will be visiting Nagoya for the first time in late May.

  1. Any tips / tricks for 1st timer to Legoland?
  2. Anything at the Maker's pier next to Legoland that's worth checking out?
  3. For Yanagibashi Central Market near Nagoya station, is it just a wet fish market or are there other stalls esp fruits stall? Worth visiting?

For those of you who has the above model kit, may I kindly check what are the dimensions of the completed model especially the height when its attached to the black stand. I'm thinking of getting a display box from Daiso to put the finished model in, hence the need for the dimensions. Thank you in advance !!!

Will be visiting Osaka next month but my wife don't fancy grilled unagi. There will be a day when I'm alone to do my Otaku stuff and I will very much like to have grilled unagi rice that day. Will be around Den Den Town till Namba Parks area. Any recommendation(s) for Hitsumabushi in those areas? Will very much want to avoid places that grill the eel on electric grills rather than charcoal.
