Divorced, but still wondering if reconciliation is possible

I’m going through a divorce, and I’m struggling to understand what comes next.

My marriage ended after a difficult period, and we are now divorced. I still have feelings for my ex-wife, and part of me is wondering whether reconciliation is realistically possible or whether I need to accept that the relationship is over and move on.

My family is planning to speak with her and her family soon, so there may be one final attempt to see whether things can be repaired. At the same time, I don’t want to hold onto false hope or pressure her into coming back.

What makes this harder is the uncertainty about my future. I keep thinking about whether I could eventually have another relationship or marriage, and whether I would genuinely be happier with someone new rather than trying to rebuild my previous marriage.

For people who have been through divorce:

- Did you ever successfully reconcile after divorce?

- If you did, what actually made reconciliation work?

- How did you know when it was time to stop hoping and move on?

- If you remarried someone else, did the second relationship feel fundamentally different?

- How long did it take before you were emotionally ready for a new relationship?

I’m not looking for a judgment of my ex or myself. I’d genuinely like to hear from people who have experienced something similar and can give an honest perspective.

Is an MBA worth it for transitioning from Technical Writing to Product Management or Tech Consulting?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some career advice.

I have:

* 10+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in enterprise software and hardware. * Earns 21.5 Lpa in India * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Tire -3 * Experience working with engineering, QA, and product teams

I'm considering pursuing an MBA to transition into **Product Management** or **Technology Consulting**.

My questions are:

* Is an MBA the right path for this transition? * Which MBA programs (abroad) are best for Product Management or Tech Consulting? * Would a 1-year MBA be sufficient? * If you've made a similar transition, was the MBA worth the investment? * Though I have 10+ years of experience, does it require GMAT score?

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has moved from a technical or engineering background into Product Management or Consulting.

Thanks in advance!

10+ years as a Technical Writer – What career transition would you recommend?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some career advice from people who have successfully transitioned into higher-growth roles.

I have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in enterprise software/IT
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working closely with engineering, QA, product, and support teams
  • Strong skills in technical documentation, information architecture, release documentation, and cross-functional collaboration

While I enjoy technical writing, I feel I've reached a point where career growth and compensation are becoming limited. Rather than continuing on the same path, I'd like to transition into a role with better long-term prospects.

I'm open to learning new skills, certifications, or even pursuing higher education if it makes sense. My goal is to move into a role that offers stronger growth, higher earning potential, and opportunities in international markets (UAE, Australia, Europe, etc.).

Based on my background, which career paths would you recommend?

Some roles I've been considering are:

  • Technical Product Manager
  • AI Consultant
  • Digital Transformation Consultant
  • Solutions Consultant
  • Change Management Consultant
  • Business Analyst
  • Product Manager

Are there any other careers I should seriously consider?

I'd especially appreciate hearing from anyone who made a similar transition from technical writing or another documentation-focused role:

  • What role did you move into?
  • What skills or certifications helped the most?
  • Any best mentors?
  • Looking back, would you choose the same path again?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
