Just a thought in the back of my head, but I'd like to build an S10 based Chevy advance design 4x4. Just wondering which S10 variation is easiest to swap the old truck onto (I do understand that I'll likely have to shorten the frame a bit, I also understand that the 47-54 trucks have different bed lengths, I am yet to acquire one so I'm unsure as to which length I might get). My bird still refuses to run right, idle is very low and extremely rough. It will now run without my foot on the gas pedal, but dies out the moment I try to give it any throttle. For some reason it runs better when I plug the MAF sensor in, sometimes however it will run better if I unplug the MAF (usually only after I've had it running). The engine will not run for more than a minute.
I've pulled the injectors twice, they all fire and read 16 ohms. The timing is I believe slightly before TDC. Fuel pressure regulator is not leaking. I replaced the fuel pump. Fuel pump relay works. The ECM is receiving the reference pulse from the distributor (tachometer is working). I have not yet verified fuel pressure, but I attached an injector tester to the injectors when I pulled the rail and they sprayed quite well. The ECM is not throwing any codes (other than 12).
I'm sure I'm forgetting something I've checked but that's about it. Please help...

(it will run quite a bit longer if I let it sit for a few minutes) I've replaced the fuel pump and am getting good fuel pressure, the injectors all work as they should, fuel pressure regulator diaphragm is fine.
This is with the MAF sensor unplugged, if I plug it in and get some vacuum through it (I'm missing a piece of my intake so it's not working perfectly), it will run worse or will barely start at all.
If I give it any throttle it'll die out.
Thoughts? I'm kinda stumped...

I recently bought a fixer upper 1986 trans am with the LB9 TPI engine. As the title states, it pours a crazy amount of fuel into the cylinders and refuses to start (it'll fire on the first crank after letting it sit for a while but that's it).
I've tried unplugging the TPS, MAF and some injectors and the fuel pressure regulator looked perfectly fine.
Anyone have some suggestions as to what I could possibly do to try and fix my problem? Thanks!
I just bought a Lincoln 210 MP welder from a farm auction, looks barely used, but I wasn't looking very closely when I picked it up and didn't notice its lack of power cord. Any idea where I can get a replacement or if I can just use some kind of adapter? Thanks! (In Canada btw) (The plug on the machine is a male 240v)
