Arc 6 where they reset subaru for more pity parties and waifu wish fulfillment selfinserting moments. Arc 7 when vincent was shown to be a blithering clueless idiot that couldn’t understand chisha’s basic plan until it happened. Arc 8 where everyone glazed priscilla even though she was a terrible person.
Subaru is one of the shallowest characters I have ever read about. Every arc there will be some surface level growth and a “ deep message “ for 13 year old kids but subaru will not really change. He can’t change because that would stop depressed teenagers from selfinserting into him. Every storyline ( counting arcs 1-3 and 7-8 as one storyline ) his surface level growth is made irrelevant and there will be more surface level suffering where subaru hates himself and such before the feel good moments with the paper thin sorry excuses for side characters. It’s fun torture porn and sympathy farming but not good writing. Even the surface level growth doesn’t stick because tappei forgets that his glorious selfinsert is supposed to have character traits. In arc 10 when fighting tiga with crusch tappei forgets that subaru learned to care about his life in arc 4 and 8. Such deep writing. It blows my mind that even hormonal preteens consider this character “ well written ”. Rezero is one of the worst weebslops ever. Steinsgate code geass and one piece only come close.
Browsed this sub for a bit. Saw some 40 page essays, these people have to have some sort of mental illness. There is no way these are real people. The show is trash on par with mushoku tensei. Not sure why it deserves such a “ dedicated “ fanbase.

Eris: is a child tsundere that gets assaulted multiple times by Rudeus, before he does it with her as a 40 year old man. But it’s ok because she loves the him and wants to get stronger for him. Then she disappears into the harem. Never to be seen as an individual again, but as one object of pleasure among many.
Sylphie: doesn’t even try to hide the wish fulfillment with this one. This pathetic woman couldn’t get over her creepy childhood crush. She exists to validate the main character and the fans because they view themselves in Rudeus. One of the worst characters ever. It’s trash.
Roxy: another wish fulfillment slop character. They all have zero boundaries and allow whatever our beloved main character that the fans see themselves as wants to do. She even looks like a little kid. The wish fulfillment is most blatant here.
Why do people like the characters except for Rudeus. They’re all trash. Garbage wish fulfillment slop. People need to stop saying that the other characters have good writing.
