Perma Adrenaline Ailment Stacking Phys Convert Ice Shot Raider - Build Showcase
Hello Guys, today I bring to you my project to waste my currency on this league.
The motivation behind this build was:
- Warden is a horrible ascendancy with a couple decent-ish nodes
- Raider was cooler than Warden, so I wanted to play a build that has the Raider Portrait in rememberance of better times
- I noticed a cool interaction with Enmity's Embrace that sadly does not work on a Manyshot mercenary due to attribute allocation
So the Build I bring to you is:
Phys Convert Ailmentmaxxing perma-adrenaline Ice Shot/Tornado Shot Raid...Warden
So, what we are doing is we are building around 6 Unique Items:
-Stormblood SAPPHIRE Flask (NOT the Topaz version which is way more expensive, we will not need it)
-Heatshiver
- Enmity's Embrace
- Olroth's Charge (or to be precise, it's vestigial modifier)
- Yoke of Suffering
- Sublime Vision (Hatred)
So, to start off, the sapphire version of Stormblood allows all damage that crits to deal Cold ailments, namely Freeze, Chill and Brittle. Regular Cold ailments in general are quite strong defensively, but lack in offense - except for Brittle, which we gain off Sublime Vision for Hatred - but Heatshiver can capitalize on this by adding a portion of your Cold Damage extra Fire Damage. Due to Stormblood allowing ALL damage types to inflict the ailments, we do not have to worry about keeping a part of our damage as cold, and therefore can go all-in on converting all damage we deal to fire.
This is ideal for us due to Enmity's Embrace. In case you did not confront the Flame Link Luminary, Enmity's Embrace does a couple very powerful things. First, it can give us up to 200% Fire Penetration, but at the cost of reduced fire resistance. Also we take some Fire damage whenever we use a skill. This is usually a downside, but since it is registered as a hit, we can do some funny things, like gain damage reduction via Grukthul Pantheon or Aspect of Lunaris. ALSO THIS DAMAGE BREAKS WARD. This allows us to force trigger Cast on Ward Break, which is nice, but that is not all...
CUE: Olroth's Charge
Both Olroth's Charge and its vestigial offspring offer the modifier "Gain Adrenaline for 3 (2 for vestigial) Seconds when Ward breaks". This is a quite powerful steroid for attack builds (100% increased Attackdamage, 25% atk/movespeed, 10% PDR), however otherwise, Olroths Charge barely offers any good mods, and in fact kinda sabotages us with reduced ward recovery. By going instead for a vestigial pair of boots and another source for flat ward (in our case Sundance + rare Runic Gauntlets), we can both gain some useful mods, as well as solve the ward recovery issue.
Now, since we are a Warden that deals Fire damage and always inflicts Cold ailments, we can use both Oath of Summer and Oath of Winter to guarantee 2sec Freezes and swap shitty ignites for double Scorches.
So now we have 4 ailments, and for our fith, we resort to Yoke of Suffering, which allows all elemental damage to shock (another up to 50% damage multiplier). Also Yoke gives us up to 10 (12 if corrupted)% increased damage per ailment on enemies -> 50-60% inc damage just off our current ailments.
This is our core of items we are building around, but now we gotta manage them effectively.
For our body armour, we are using a Foulborn Skin of the Lords to make sure we get our fire resistance up to a decent level. The optimal keystone would be Avatar of Fire, but it turns out that Supreme Ego is also veeeeery good for our hatred scaling (since it is a more multiplier to our aura effect)
Since we do not have Avatar of Fire, we instead go for a Pyre Sapphire Ring to convert 48% of our cold to fire, leaving us 2% Cold damage after Cold to Fire support, which we happily ignore in favour for mana reservation efficency corrupt for Hatred on our Pyre.
To fill our Ascendancy points, I opted for Farrul Bloodline, which gives us a good chunk of attack speed and crit off Summon Spectral Tiger, as well as our Herald of Purity sentinels and our ice golem.
The passive tree then is filled with Forbidden Flame/Flesh for Endless Munitions (gathering wind also makes sense), a 2x Hatred Watcher's Eye, inc Fire Damage The Light of Meaning, and a Corrupted Blood immunity Jewel (cause Headhunter + Enmity's Embrace can result in you self-inflicting Corrupted Blood on yourself if you kill one of those rare monsters that have that mod)
Finally, Headhunter makes a lot of sense on mappers with damage conversion due to the amount of buffs that are beneficial for those builds. Also Wine of the Prophet has some buffs that can outright double the damage on the build.
Of course, Mageblood always works, but is outclassed by Headhunter as soon as you open some juicy content.
