AGL delay?

Curious if this is common or happening with anyone else. We booked a LCL shipment from China to US 2-3 weeks ago with AGL and there has been no update or contact from them to our supplier. AGL keeps saying that space has not been made available on the ship yet and once there is space, they will then do a formal review of our commodity and proceed with providing us an inland trucking quote from the supplier to their warehouse. We usually use our own freight forwarder and pickup of goods is always within a week. We will definitely be missing the 75 day automatic shipping plan cancellation window because of this.

What could have happened to my package?

Three weeks ago, I dropped off a package at a UPS Store and received a drop-off receipt, but I later threw it away.

I discovered the package was never delivered and tracking still only shows "Label Created." When I called the store, an employee said they found it in their system and told me to file a claim with UPS. UPS then asked for proof of drop-off, so I went back to the store to get the receipt reprinted. This time, the owner said there was no record of the package and showed me his screen. I told him an employee had previously told me it was scanned in and showed him my phone call log, but he couldnt help.

Thinking there was nothing more I could do but accept the loss, I checked my vehicle's cameras. The footage clearly shows me carrying the package into the store and leaving without it. The package is easily identifiable with company logos on it, but the tracking label isn't visible.

If a package is scanned at a UPS Store, does that scan always appear in the tracking history? Is it possible for a UPS Store to delete a drop-off record? At that time, I also dropped off a couple Amazon returns (not in packaging), so could things have gotten mixed up in the wrong bins?

UPS stole my package and won't reimburse.

We shipped a customs a package valued at $80 and paid around $20 for shipping. It was scanned at the UPS store and we have a receipt. They never delivered it and we had to re-ship the items to the customer. So we lost arond $100, filed a claim and within a couple days, the status is "Claim Not Approved - Unable to Contact Receiver". Wth am I supposed to do about this? There is no way to re-open the claim. Why would they be contacting my customer and why would they expect them to answer the phone duirng working hours when the customer is most likely at work. It seems unprofessional to be contacting business's customers like this. Clearly they stole the package and are trying to avoid reimbursing us. What can we do about this? As a matter of fact, we have never been reimbursed for any lost UPS packages in the history of our company.

Buying a home with unpermitted renovations?

First time homebuyer. Been looking for a while to buy my first home and found one I loved in Victoria Park, only to find out the entire interior re-model was not permitted. Includes Kitchen and bathroom remodels (inludes moving a toilet and removing a small wall, adding new counters), re-tiling, new HVAC and water heater installed, among other things... When I spoke to the city, they told me that basically everything, besides painting, needs a permit in Ft. Lauderdale. If I were to buy it, I would be liable for re-permiting after the fact and/or fines if I get caught. Also if I wanted to do work in the future, I could not get a permit until I got all prior work legalized or something like that. I am also financing so I'm not sure if this can cause problems with that or with insurance.

My real estate agent says almost all homes have some unpermitted work, indicating that I shouldn't be concerned.

Thoughts? Should I pass on this home or is this super common?

Pretending to be a therapist

Hello everyone,

Wondering your thoughts on this. There is a woman on social media who lives in my neighborhood and I personally know, but we are not friends. She has a large IG following and an online neuropsychology business (selling supplements and such), makes videos about clinical psychology and sells sessions. On her Instagram she mentions that she is a therapist in videos and captions. She sells virtual sessions on her website although there she doesn't specifically call it "therapy" but therapeutic services, mind coaching, that kind of thing. She also states shes a nutritionist and in a recent speaking event, she says she has " every degree and license you can think of", but never lists them or her credentials anywhere. A recent IG story shows her talking about her day and how she just finished invoicing "patients" and a new post advertises free therapy to executives. but when you click on the provided link, it says spots are full but you can email to see how she can help. Such a scam.

The thing is, she has no formal education in psychology or counseling, no license that I can see and not even a registered business. She is a beautiful, young, charismatic Caucasian woman, so no one ever questions her. Years ago, I reported her to the department of health, providing them screenshots, but nothing came of it. I think they need an actual "victim" to take it seriously? Can anything be done here to make her stop fooling people.
