Did I fuck up my boots?

had to stomp a raccoon that attacked me, stomped a rock in the process too, does the stitch still look good? is that creasing or cracking? how do I check for further damage m?

Is a 1.25 width western belt feminine?

I want a western belt I can wear with my dress pants and my jeans, would a 1.25 be a bad choice? would it make me look like a woman?

I feel like I should just keep my head down and keep a low profile until I have improved myself to a certain degree

21M, immigrant in Canada, been here since 11, spent most of my conscious life here, grew up with western media, danny phantom, scooby doo, Phineas and ferb, the whole nine yards. Ive literally had the best grades of my class in my English courses since I came to Canada and have barely any detectable accent even though I do have a slight stutter due to anxiety. I’ve had literally every western value since I can remember, pro choice, for women’s suffrage, pro democracy, adamant about separation of state and religion, literally everything north american you can think of I like and enjoy and respect.

i pay honour to all the fallen soldiers of Canada when I can since the tomb of the unknown soldier is close to me, I’m a deist to atheist. Even after all that I still feel like everyone judges me off the fact that I was born in Pakistan and still have some tendencies from there like having a stand your ground attitude and aslo that I have very bad skin from neglect post injury that partially disabled me. I’m also a bit overweight and have gynecomastia which makes things even worse. I literally do everything to assimilate but literally I can’t post a single pic of myself without being called a pajeet or inbred and at this point I feel like what Ali said one time in an interview during the civil rights movement

>'What if there were 1,000 rattlesnakes outside your door, & maybe 100 of them wouldn't bite you, didn't mean you any harm, but they all looked alike? So you couldn't tell the mean ones from from the nice ones. What should you do? Should you open the door & hope that the 100 snakes that wouldn't harm you would come together & form a shield protecting you from the other 900 snakes that want to harm you? Or should you close the door & stay safe?

I just feel like if I approach anyone, women will think I’m a bobs and vagene creep and shoo me away or record me and post me on social media if I’m awkward and guys will just make fun of me.

i can’t meet people naturally through warm approaches because im partially disabled so i do highschool mostly from home and dont have many social hobbies. most people i meet have been through approaches post dropping out of high school once I got disabled, I’ve joined back again now though.

i dont think in my situation it’s even a good idea to talk to anyone at all. I have no money, I have no other friends, I don’t go anywhere, I feel like just drinking and smoking alone should be my outlet until I have a good job and money, my own place, maybe a car or be able to afford Ubers everywhere, have worked out to a decent enough physique, taken care of the gynecoma through surgery, and have had given my skincare routine enough time to clear absolutely everything and then maybe I can try being social again but right now I people literally just ignore me when I try speaking and when I do get someone’s number or socials they never reply so I feel I’m just wasting my time.

I just feel like right now I should just drink and smoke to feel good rather than try to meet people and just get hurt and then go home and drink even more because rejection sucks and I don’t want to go through it over and over again and have it replaying my head. like there’s no point in trying because if I don’t make friends I will just get sadder and if I do make friends they will realize i dont have any other friends and then theyll get weirded out and leave and that will hurt too, I feel like I should just work on objective metrics that people care about most in relationships to increase my chances of meeting people and just presenting myself wrll and allow those who do want to interact with me to decide on their own.

My first pair of good year welt boots, a love story. Canada west boots Moorby 2835.

Not the highest quality (a small cosmetic stitching defect I noticed way too late and the thinner tongue) but still a huge upgrade from fast fashion brands like doc martens and blundstones. resole-able, 5mm thick full grain chrome tanned leather upper on the 2835 (only asked about this model, not sure about others), heavily oiled to help with water resistance. the black on these is perfect, just shine enough but not too shiny, only gripe for me is the thinner non gusseted tongue but I don’t really mind at this price point when comparing to red wings. I really love these babies more than any shoe or boot I’ve ever owned before after the break in period. Creasing has stayed minimal thanks to huberds shoe grease, I bought superfeet insoles but with how comfortable they are and the lack of a Whole of space in the boots I’ll likely return them.

I ended up also getting some leather laces for them, I feel like they should come with them and imo I’m not a fan of the weak laces but I’m glad they save us money on buying the boot and leave the laces up to us to choose. The eyes and hooks or whatever you call them are beautiful and well attache, stitching is great for the price,. I heard some people complaining that these boots aren’t 100% Canadian since the hardware and leather is sourced from outside but i ended up calling up Canada west boots and they had a very good reason, Canadian tanneries just don’t produce the volume required for a retail boot manufacture, they used to get canadian leather but that tannery shut down. Still not USA leather, it’s Mexican so that’s a win, also keeps these boots more affordable than red wings. The vibram mini lug 430 is the absolute perfect sole for a dressier heritage boot, not too aggressive but still great traction.

Overall just absolutely worth the now higher than before price tag of $329 CAD before tax since it’s only like $80 more than blundstones or timbs but you can’t resole either of those easily or as much nor is the leather as good nor does it even really look that good, these boots can be dressed up or down when necessary, theyre the perfect office commute boot because I don’t like dressing like an astronaut in Canadian weather and prefer my formal wear when going to the office and I will easily get a decade out of them if I’m smart.

I wish I wouldve gotten the pecan tumbled 2801 though but wasn't sure what the colour would become once I applied huberds and snow seal also it wasn’t available at the same price as these at my local store so I would’ve had to pay more for shipping plus the extra cost since it was more expensive online. If you can try these on before buying that would be the way to go since these boots aren’t for everyones feet which no boot is but it goes twice as hard for these, luckily I have the almost perfect foot size for these. the insoles cant be removed but are very very comfortable because they’re poron sandwiched between leather.

Next boots will probably be another one of these in pecan and then maybe a grant stone diesel if they haven’t gotten more expensive by the time I can afford them at their current price. it’s just that most American boots have gotten way out my price range than for what they are worth which is essentially these with negligible differences unless you step up the price point to a company like grant stone. I wish I could thank Graham Moorby myself for keeping this amazing company alive and providing such great boots, i really really want their spongy ropers as well.

Huberds vs sno seal for Canadian Ontario winters?

Huberds vs sno seal for protection in Canadian Ontario weather? Shoes are Canada west boots Moorby 2835 270 welt. I’m thinking of using Huberd for now while summer lasts as I’ve already applied there layers and then applying a few thin layers of sno seal before fall comes

Did I make a mistake getting these Canada West Boots Moorby 2835?

Coming from pull on boots so don’t know whats exactly right, but fit feels good, there is very slight heel slip when not tightened down well but when I tighthen it goes away but then bending at the ankle becomes hard, the half size smaller was way too tight, foot was bulging out way too much. leather is nice and thick full grain heavily oiled black loggertan, tongue is pretty flimsy and soft though, 2ee last thats decent for my feet width. one thing I sadly only found out after buying is that they’re 270 welted rather than 360 which makes me worried about Canadian mud and snow. overall a very good shoe for the $380 cad I paid for it but just worried I overlooked a better value option, let me know what you all think if this
