Roommate guide

So for all the new kids staying at a hostel or pg for the first time, please keep these things in mind if you don't want to be taken advantage of. Specially for those of you staying with a (or two) room mates !!

  1. Always keep your almirahs locked when you're not in the room , please non negotiable hai.

  2. Maintain personal boundaries in sharing things. Be it clothes, electronics or snacks. Let them know that they can only use it when you are present and not in your absence.

  3. Never ! Share your family details with them. Even if you get a bhai jaisa room mate ✌🏻. Please, don't disclose family finances, fights and arguments.

  4. Don't be the one to gossip or bitch about one roommate to other. Things can backfire and people turn against you.

  5. Please take diving expenses seriously and dont be the one to always pay for everything. Bura katega last me. Splitting is the key !

  6. Always keep your personal stuff, cash, and imp things away from their sight. And maintain boundaries. Tell them if you don't like something, call them out if they are untidy or loud in the room.

Wishing you all a happy college life !!

Don't talk to a stranger 😭

Sharing this story from April 2026, me and my 2 friends were returning at 9:30pm from dwarka to vishvavidyaly after a competition. Since we were getting late we got in the general coach as we were 3 people and the metro was decently full.

After we changed at Rajiv chowk, a guy approached us and asked us for pg prices in North campus for his sister to stay. He said mai delhi me naya hu aise waise and my sister needs a place to stay so what are the prices. Out of courtesy we told him the general accomodation price in North campus.

Now ! My 2 friends got off at civil lines and the moment they left ! This guy started asking for my number 🙂and my socials saying "mai bhi student hi kuch doubt hua toh uske liye" I said no about 5-6 times. Also at this point the conversation was pretty loud for everyone else to hear and it was crowded as I mentioned earlier.

This guy just kept asking me .. mai student hu student samjh ke help kardo I said no , quite loudly. Just 2 metro stations bache the , around 4 mins only but those 4 mins felt like hell.

Ek toh sabse ajeeb cheez, everyone could hear that he was troubling me yet no one took a stand 🙂 , people can just be crazy sometimes.

My station came and I ran for my life ✌🏻

Mind you , all 3 of us were wearing decent ''covered" clothes as we were returning from a debate competition.

Can we just stop with these overpriced courses

What is about all these Psych influencers bringing up their courses and charging thousands for them , literally thousands ??

Psych prodigy is selling a cuet pg prep course for 9,999. Literally almost 10k for a cuet pg course ?

Influencers like these and psycho didi , what are you even promoting ? We all know how rigged are the examinations, we work hard, study all these books and then boom the paper just comes out of nowhere.

They make reels saying that yes paper was unexpected, difficult but bas utna hi

Cut off fir bhi high hi jyegi , be it cuet pg or NET exam.

Few 100s will score well , yes absolutely they would have worked hard for it but then baki sabka kya who do work equally hard but get screwed by a poor paper ? Sab apas me courses sell krne me lage huye hai saying that ours is better than theirs. Then they'll make a reel or two saying that yes paper was so hard.

Par fir jab results ayenge then they'll celebrate a mere 4-5 good results from their batch of hundreds of students.

What about accountability man ? What about the other 98 students whom you failed ? Of course 100 me se 2-3 toh accha kar hi lenge but you use their name and face to sell your over priced courses ? Is this the ethical standard that we promote as a psychological community ? Har koi uth ke teacher nahi bann skta you need experience, you need to understand the narrative of the exam and shyad isiliye we have a proper procedure to be certified to teach !

10 hazar 20 hazar ke courses do and accountability is 0 and I can't blame the students enrolling for it because of course resources for Psych are already very limited.

But please be mindful of whom you choose to associate with and please ! Spend your money wisely.

Switch From Psychology to HRM

I'm so done with all the cuet drama. This is probably my third post of the day. After studying with all my heart and absolutely getting ridiculed by the cuet pg score. I am just so done at this point.

Can someone please advise me of a good college or a course for masters if I want to switch to HRM or I/O psychology.

I genuinely cannot sit at home my parents will eat me alive everyday with their taunts. I just want to make something out of my degree and get a job

Please help me figure it out

I got 167/300 in cuet pg psychology this year. I know it's bad but trust me I genuinely studied and most people in my college scored poorly.

So seeing du cut offs , of course I'm not gonna get in. Tried for media studies at JnU , no chance either , the results came out yesterday.

Can someone please let me know what university can I apply to , a decent one. I've applied at university of hyderabad and planning of applying to central University of Andhra Pradesh. I'm genuinely so done with this exam. Please show me some light I really need to get an admission
