The first version of Lumitype, a free alternative to Photoshop on Linux is now available.

The goal : to do a fast, modern, and free app open sources (yes you can use the code for an side project, fork it, do what ever you want with it !). So now Enjoy ! You can find the app some Google font i have pre-download, and some project i did with the software to debug it.

There a risk of some known glitches, and no place to report it for the moment, so you can use this reddit post.

est-ce que crée un serveur survie sans règles...?

Salut tous le monde, je me demandais si un serveur survie à l'ancienne ce serait cool ? le genre de serveur que tu veux rejoindre sans avoir à lire 10 pages de conditions, sans mods, ni rien, juste des gens qui viennent puis partent et reviennent. Ça deviendrait une place sociale comme Wow, ou Dofus ! Et juste voilà..?

I love Gimp but...

I finally switch to Gimp after 10 years of photoshop, and i admit it, this is scary, look sometimes.. too different, but i have reproduce my Photoshop UI, change the shortcuts as i want, and i love it ! I have found a ez way to do clipping mask, and everything is wonderful..

But no gpu acceleration when the project become big is kinda .. sad, everything start to be very slow.. i think this is the only thing i need to be comfortable on it !

As another example, i m using Darktable as a lightroom replacement, and OpenCL works like a charm on it !

Big project : Website for crosshair placement guide !

This is actually in dev, i made a map builder were i can put the minimap on the floor and then build it with cube, spheres, and put lights ! The final goal is to do a free website to help people to train their crosshair placement ! I m actually working on reproducing each map with the good size, characters with the good speed, and some animation like you can see ! I can't actually made an accurate aim training cause the sensibility is too inaccurate in browsers.. so no aim lab sadly. Ask your questions !

Stupid question but :

For people against AI, will you think twice if an Ai used to draw was made by an artist with his own drawing ?

Like instead of just being fed with random drawing without authorizations, an artists decide to made it himself as a tool !

It's just an open question, and i m curious!

(i was against AI few years ago cause i did art school.. and AI was everywhere on Instagram, i felt useless and didn't want to share anything anymore, but now i m used to it, i have stop drawing. And now i m open to use AI "sometimes", i still prefer do things my self in Photoshop, but it'a always fun to try new technology.)
