Good spots for a birthday dinner on only a few days notice?

Accidentally mixed up the day for my reservation for my birthday dinner, and they don’t have availability on my birthday anymore. It’s just going to be myself and my sister though so only 2 people.
Can anyone recommend a nice dinner spot in the area that feels nice enough for a birthday? The only two options I can think of are Arden and Muse, but we go to those places regularly already so they don’t feel very special. Any ideas welcome.. thanks all!

Good hair colorist to do a pink balayage? Inspo pics included!

This is my first time dyeing my hair so I want to get it done by someone who will do a really good job! Willing to travel within NYC for the right person.

Extra suitcase for diabetes supplies on airplanes?

Hi all, I’m traveling to South Korea in the fall. I recently heard that type 1 diabetics are technically legally allowed to carry an extra carryon suitcase on flights, as long as it is only filled with necessary diabetes supplies.
I definitely want to use this benefit because I always feel like I don’t have room to bring as many backup supplies as I would like. I’m just scared of getting a lot of hassle at the airport.

Has anyone used this extra suitcase benefit before and if so, what was your experience? I have a travel letter from my endo dated this year.

Mobi user: what do you do during “no phones” events?

I got a Phoebe Bridgers ticket and then found out it is strictly no phones. I assume phones will be locked up in those little cases I have seen at other events.

I’m all for this but I also… don’t wanna die LOL. I would just bring a letter from my doctor but in my experience these venues are not very equipped for medical concerns and can be very dismissive and rude. I don’t want to be traumatized.

I’m thinking my only option is to bring a classic testing kit and finger pricking supplies to actually see my BG, and then use the quick bolus button if I need to give insulin. I’m scared to rely on these though. I HATE that the mobi doesn’t let you have a backup device that isn’t a phone :(

Any good places in BK to buy Knicks merch? Including from local artists or local stores

Feel free to roast me, yes I know I should have gotten one years ago, what can I say I waited until the last minute.

Want to avoid trekking all the way to MSG to buy something if possible. Preferably around the area of downtown brooklyn, park slope, prospect/crown heights, PLG, bed stuy, etc

Thanks!!!

What happened at Ouma Bakery in Flatbush / PLG today? (May 11)

I saw this Instagram story and I’m dying to know the tea tbh. The way this is worded looks very sus to me...

Ouma used to have this insanely talented baker (who I follow on instagram religiously) working for them, but I noticed the baker recently left - not sure if it’s related.

And yes, I know Ouma is technically Flatbush/PLG-territory, but the owners of Ouma also own Polly’s Cafes which are both in crown heights, so that’s why I’m hoping someone here will know!
