Petunia and Calliope waiting for mom to come home.

There is nothing like the love from a dog - or two!

Sidewalk blocking taken to the next level.

People are absolutely clueless.

UPDATE - people think there isn't enough space in front of the truck when there is at least 20' in front of it to the roadway. I cannot add another photo, so I will add it below.

When to let go of most of it? Easy to justify selling, but it's hard to let go.

Over my decades of PS, I am staring at all my old games and old my consoles and I wonder when I should let most of it go. I have had so many of both that I gave away my first prize ps1 with a neon green clear case, plus 10 games to go with it (it was for a work-friend's kid with a sad Christmas ahead of him, so TOTALLY worth it). Dino Crisis, Resident Evil, FFVII and so on. I have since wondered what I am going to do with all of it, but the nostalgia of it all is holding me back even though I haven't played most of the games in years - or decades for that matter. I still have my PS' and a ton of games, but I continue to be hesitant to just let a lot of it go. Any help taking the leap?

An '85 Pontiac Fiero.

I saw this gem of gen x ride at one of those shady used car dealerships across the street while getting the oil changed at a mom & pop shop. I was going to go over to see the condition and mileage for fun, but I was afraid I'd need a shower afterwards.

60 days with no rain, and today, nothing but virga.

Can we get a rain dance?? The trails need it in the worst way.

Movies our cool Aunt showed us what cool was.

My aunt Sheila would always play movies for us kids to watch when she watched us when mom was at work. She showed me what class, and what cool was. Her favorite movie (and mine, of course) was Auntie Mame from 1958 with Rosalind Russell.

"Are we all lit?" Is a quote that I still use to this day, which always gives me looks, but always appropriate to ask if every-one is ready, or good to go. The depth of pot-meets-kettle throughout the movie is just classic for me. Rattlesnake anyone?

What is a great older movie that made you see the light?

Friendship dying?

10 years ago, a friend asked me to welcome a college buddy to my hometown. I was happy to, we had many things in common, and we hit it off very well. I am in my 50's (married 35 years), he is his late 30's (single), but we always had a good report. "Bill" is a great guy, good job with the county, and owns his own home now. Good for him! We used to hang out one night a week to Mountain bike and have a beer, but that has changed.

He has had a girlfriend for a few months now, whom is very religious, but I think she doesn't approve if me. Her supervisor (Choade, I will call him) is work friends with Bill, and now he brings Choade to our rides. I am ok with it, why wouldn't I be?

Now Choade is his scape-goat. "Oh, I can't ride tonight, but you can ride with Choade instead." Ok... I don't care about Choade, but here I am at the trailhead on my bike with no out and now, stuck with Choade. This last week, Bill showed up late. He always has his gear in his truck, but this time, he 'forgot' his helmet. His girlfriend was with him, and he said, "Well, at least you can go ride with Choade!" She was laughing... He immediately drove off, and I am left with my jaw on the ground.

What the actual fuck... He texted later saying, "Sorry I bailed, at least you got to ride with Choade!"

FUCK CHOADE!!

My wife says not to overreact, but it's hard when it feels like he his holding the match that is ready to burn the bridge.

Am I wrong to feel left aside? I have always been there for him when he needed me, now I feel like I am just an afterthought. I am ready to go nuclear, so please help me before I do. TIA

The local park in NW New Mexico have these giant Maple trees, so I planted four helicopter seeds to see if they would sprout. All four did sprout, so I will plant them in my yard this season! What variety of maple am I looking to plant in my yard?

Thank you!
