You know them. The people walking or biking around with jingling bags, going through your trash, and making their way out West 11th to trade hours of work for dimes that, at $2.40 a day per store, qualifies them as living above the worldwide poverty level.

I live by the universty, and without the dozen and more people making their way through the neighborhood on regular basisis, we would be ankle deep in miller high lives before two Duck games were out.

Canners are people who are working, and doing an essential job, and being treated like vermin for it. This is wrong, and should change. I think we need to accept that not everyone is cut out for a job interview and filling out a W-4, but this does not mean than they do not NEED MONEY TO LIVE.

We should accept Reality and start paying these proven refuse-movers in CASH to pick up more than just the cans.

Imagine, paying a guy who really can not do much else just $80 a day to keep one bus stop looking nice. This would be a net benefit to society at a cost much lower than constant police sweeps/other legel trouble.

In the Christmas episode, while all the staff are walking by, Davy says one of the guys from work is a pouf, which is hilarious. Who is he pointing at when he says this? I'm learning everything I can about the band bts, I'm sure lots of people who worked on the show were gay.

For a lot of people working in the dishroom is a stop over job on their way to bigger and better things. Not for me. The suds and flow state of cleaning a lot of plates is what makes me happy. How do I get a job paying the big bucks being the most elite Michelin five star quality dishwasher?

I just came from visiting the history museum by the fairgrounds for the first time, despite having lived a mile from it for ages now. Why did no one tell me how great it was? If you want an entertaining afternoon activity, going to the Lane County History Museum is Free. You get way more than your money is worth though. It's a big room of old stuff with informational posters on the wall, and what more could be asked for? Even better, it's stuff from around here. Like, the Chambers street Chambers family stuff. There was an old wagon and a model T and something neat and old for any demographic you can think of. They have a tiny little gift shop like all museums, but this one is dirt cheap with decent quality used kid's books and vintage unsorted photos for a dollar.

There was also a comic con at the fair grounds that I had no idea about, so I need the community to overall get better at letting me know about the awesome things we have right under out noses.

Overall: 9/10, will be going back to the Lane County History Museum again soon, so I can read all the posters again more slowly.
