I am not talking about the recent increase due to the sell, but just average players throughout the year (about 25K before the sale). It has consistently outpaced other popular Roguelikes like Hades, Risk of Rain or Vampire survivors by like 4 or 5 times.

There has been roguelikes which had really high peaks like Mewgenics or Hades but those player counts basically drop off massively within in a month or two, but here is Isaac 12 years later that has steadily increased player counts throughout the years.

It seems very out of normality for a game to have not only a consistent player base over 12 years but an increasing one, What do you think this is attributed too? Sheer amount of content? Constant updates? or something else?

Binding of Isaac hit an all-time peak 12 years after its release, thanks to the steam sale!

Is anyone else really confused by game grumps sub count?

It just doesn't seem to move up at all, in 2021 it was stuck at 5.33m for what seems to be over a year. and now five years later its been at 5.45m for the longest time. How is it that they haven't lost or gain subs for several months at a time and only gaining about 100k in 5 years seems really odd no? Its something I haven't noticed in any other channel. In fact according to social blade they have only gained 10K subs in the past year.

I had no Idea the Kickstarter for the Visual Novel was this successful. I can only image how well one for a new game would be.

Everyone here should try the new Onimusha Demo, it gives Heavy Sekiro feels

The demo is awesome and has so many defensive options like in Sekiro. Extremly satisfying parries, deflect, grab reversals, sword clashing battles. Sekrio has always been the best combat in gaming but this has potential to surpass it, depending on the difficulty.

One Piece fights are incredibly smart

I am watching One Piece through One Pace and just finished Skypiea, and I have to admit, the fights are very intelligent and unlike anything I’ve seen in most other anime.

For example, the whole Luffy vs. Enel fight: Enel is unable to use his lightning on Luffy because he is made of rubber, which counters the lightning and makes it ineffective. Knowing this, Enel starts whipping Luffy with his staff since that can hit him, but of course, it is a blunt object, so it is not very effective either.

So Enel changes the blunt weapon into a sharp object, which is far more effective. Luffy eventually starts countering this by grabbing the spear, so Enel adapts again by heating the spear with his electricity. Of course, heated metal can damage Luffy, despite straight electricity being unable to.

Next, Enel starts using his mantra to avoid all of Luffy’s attacks. Luffy counters this by “turning off his brain.” While this works, it makes him unable to put up a good offense, so finally, to get around this, he attacks a wall and bounces his fist off of it to hit Enel, since Enel cannot read those movements.

I am just blown away by how smart the fights are, and I'm hoping the series continues this type of combat throughout. I am just so tired of anime resorting to characters simply having higher power levels to beat enemies.

EDIT: yall making me nervous

Woke up to heavy burning smell, originating from printer room.

I am very new to the hobby, I don't print overnight for fear of fire. Had the Anycubic Kobra X for about 2 weeks with no issues. About 100 hours printed. BUT I woke up this morning and noticed a HEAVY burning smell in the room the printer is in, and it can also be smelled throughout the house. I have printed a lot, and it has never smelled like this besides the first couple of prints.

The printer was on standby overnight. Could you explain why plastic is being heated when nothing is printed? Now I am even more concerned than ever, even having the printer on at all, even if not printing. So any advice? I was already concerned with the hobby, and this further confirmed my concerns.

As a teen/young adult, I was OBSESSED with open-world games like Fallout 3 and could easily spend weeks or even months fully immersed in the world. But now, as I am 32, I just cannot get into them the same way. Even with ones I really enjoyed like Cyberpunk 2077, I end up like 30 or 40 hours and find myself quitting halfway through or less. I just find myself having less time to complete these types of games, which usually take 100 to 200 hours.

With my seemingly endless backlog of games, I just feel like I would rather complete ten 10-20 hour games and mark them off my list, as opposed to completing 1 open world game.

Does anyone else feel the same?
