Impossible to boot, orange light on motherboard
Hi,
For the past few days, I've been having a problem with my PC. I'm unable to boot after enabling XMP to run my RAM at its rated speed of 3666 MHz.
I found that changing this setting can sometimes cause this issue, but now I'm stuck because I can't boot into the BIOS to disable it.
I've already tried:
- Moving the RAM sticks to different slots
- Booting with only one RAM stick
- Replacing the RAM sticks
- Clearing the CMOS by shorting the pins with a screwdriver
- Removing the CMOS battery
Unfortunately, none of these steps solved the problem.
My PC specifications:
- Motherboard: Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (or Ryzen 5 5600/5600X if that's what you actually have, because "Ryzen 5 5800" doesn't exist)
- GPU: Sapphire RX 7800 XT (if that's what you meant; there is no RX 7080 XT)
- RAM: 2 × 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3666
