Spiderman: Brand New Day sticks to No. 1 of the weekend in its 3rd week of release, grossing 175.994 € across the weekend for total gross of 1.594.950 €, inching closer and closer to beating out The Odyssey's total gross. With this, when converted to dollars, Spidey has brought in $1,845,995 across this three weekends, jumping all the way to the 6th highest grossing movie in the history of Croatia. Can it overtake Spider-Man 2's record of $2,223,027, or will Raimi's Spidey hold the crown for highest grossing superhero movie in history of Croatia?

The Odyssey continues with its incredible run, rising back to No. 2. While it does see its first 5 figures wekend numbers, bringing in 94.457 € across weekend, with its gross of 1.647.593 € across 5 weeks, converted to dollars it brings its total gross to about $1,906,593, threatening to now knock down Avatar: The Way of Water from 4th highest grossing movie in Croatia's history. Truly an incredible summer, and overally year for Croatia.

The dino flick The End of Oak Street opens up on No. 3 with 44.568 € brought in for its opening weekend. Not the highest opening, but depending on how it legs out from now on, it could make some good money! Definelty not dead on arrival, and we will see where its total gross ends at.

After its massive opening last weekend, Paw Patro: The Dino Movie sees a massive 75% drop in only its second weekend, making only 42.179 € in its second weekend and taking fourth place in Croatia's box office weekend. Incredibly front loaded, or will these numbers look better in its third weekend with much lesser drops and better holds?

Minions & Monsters continue with their incredible holds, an only 16.6% drop in their 7th weekend brings in 13.300 € and makes them take 5th place in Croatia's box office for this weekend. With total gross of 654.462 €, they also overtake Super Mario Galaxy Movie to become highest grossing animated movie of the year in Croatia. And they very much could possibly hold onto that title for rest of the year.

The Invite simmilar to Minions & Monsters continues with pretty good holds, claiming No. 6 and bringing in 7.103 € gross for weekend, now aiming to hopefully achieve a total gross of over 200.000 €.

Rock Dog 3...opens to 5.770 € and takes No. 7 spot? This movie released in 2023, but it seems like its suddenly having some new screenings this summer. Not completely sure whats up with that, might be some sort of special projections for summer.

British comedy Sunny Dancer opens to unimpressive 5.147 €, claiming No. 8 spot. Not much interest, not much anything to say about it.

Chum, the shark horror thriller movie is...sorta holding on well? Its still sticking to top 10 its in third weekend, claiming No. 9 with its gross of 4.380 €.

Moana's live action adaptation finishes of our top 10 with its gross of 3.548 €, as it draws closer and closer to that 300.000 € mark.

And for the non top 10 club

Toy Story 5 falls down to spot 13, grossing 2.841 € for this weekend, and currently sits at total gross of 335.838 €.

260 Days keeps making money even almost year after release, Croatian biopic making 2.123 € for weekend for total gross of 494.261 € as it claims No. 14.

Backrooms with large 76.7% drop to fall down to No. 18, bringing in only 580 € this weekend for total gross of 452.032 €. Its box office run might very well be over.

Local comedy Glavonja returns in top 20, bringing in 558 € for total gross of 306.746 €, as it claims No. 19.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 also with its return, making only 452 € for this weekend, and is currently standing at 955.352 €.

Spiderman: Brand New Day with a decently large drop of 55%, but IT DOES NOT MATTER as Spidey holds onto No. 1 spot and swings into top 3 highest grossing movies of the year in Croatia in just 2 weeks, bringing a gross of 294.226 € and making a total of 1.235.637 € in 2 weeks. Its now looking to swing past The Odyssey and into the top 2, to fall behind only local juggernaut Svadba. After 2 weeks only it also swings into top 10 highest ever grossing movies in Croatia, only 2nd ever superhero movie to do so! It kicks The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey after its 13 year reign out of top 10, and positions itself as 10th highest ever grossing movie in Croatia! 2 weeks!

For comparasion, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey had made $1,371,176 during its 2012/2013 run, while Spiderman: Brand New Day currently sits at $1,428,211.

Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie with large opening of 171.093 € to knock down The Odyssey to No. 3 and claim No. 2 for itself. What can I say, Croatia loves kid movies. Spongebob movie from last year also made whole bunch of money here. What kind of legs will it have, and can it breach into top 10 highest grossing movies of the year? We will see! But a really good opening for the doggies!

The Odyssey collapses down to No. 3 but continues with its immense hold, bringing in 139.010 €, Nolan's masterpiece becoming 5th highest grossing movie ever in Croatia with its current total gross of 1.474.233 €! Ahead of it are currently, Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar, Spider-Man 2 and Svadba. 2026 truly a historic year for box office of Croatia, with 3 of 10 highest grossing movies ever coming from this year! And so the current top 10 of Croatia consists of:

Minions & Monster claim No. 4 of weekend, continuing with their strong holds to end up as likely highest grossing animated movie of the year in Croatia. 15.945 € brought for weekend, and unless it completely collapses next weekend, it should overtake The Super Mario Galaxy Movie's total gross of 636.422 €. Despite its not the best global performance, its kicking ass in this small slavic nation in Balkans, outperforming the global 1 billion $ performers like Toy Story 5 and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

American thriller The Get Out opens at No. 5 with not all that impressive 9.890 € opening. Not much to say about this, unlikely to have all that great holds with such low opening, high chances its gone within next 6 weeks or so.

Moana (2026) drops down to No. 6. It keeps holding on with weekend gross of 8.318 €. A pretty good performance all things given, but unlikely it gets anywhere close to top 10 of the year considering it would need to bring in another 100.000 € and it dropped to making 5 digits a weekend.

The Invite with pretty good performance. Nothing crazy, but good. Only a 9% drop to see itself make 8.191 € and take the No. 7 spot for the weekend. Aiming towards that 200.000 € gross.

Chum...yeah, low opening, not highest interest. makes 7.963 € for the weekend and claims No. 8. Not much to comment, not all that impressive performance, chances it falls out of top 10 by next weekend.

Toy Story 5 with some good legs. While nowhere near performance of Super Mario or Minions, its attempting to challenge for that top 10 spot, with its target being Wuthering Height's gross of 387.493 €. Can it leg out to breach into top 10, or will it fall short? That we will see as we continue following its box office run. For now, only a 8.9% drop with 3.938 € made to claim No. 9 while not the biggest money its not the worst.

Koke again simmilar to Chum, not highest interest, not best performance. Closes off top 10 to claim No. 10 with 3.347 € brought in. Unlikely to even breach 100.000 €.

As for any notable outside top 10 performances

Backrooms with some great legs. 2.494 € brought in for weekend, a 19.8% drop from last week, to hold onto No. 12. The movie is aiming for the 450.000 € gross, and then hoping to overtake Michael's performance. Currently sits at total gross of 449.951 €.

Michael arrives back into top 20, bringing 986 € for weekend. Hoping to breach that 500.00 € gross, and its currently sitting at 495.904 €.

Svadba remains in top 20, the local giant deciding it still feels like making more money more then half year after its opening. Making 616 € for weekend, claiming No. 19, its total gross now stands at 5.642.994 €.

The officialy confirmed number of participants of Eurovision Asia 2026 is so far 10 countries.

From speculations of any other participating members, we had 5 more countries possibly participating.

Datamining of official Eurovision Asia website had unveiled hidden away flags of India, Singapore and Taiwan.

Along this, Cambodia had recently posted, before quickly taking down a promotional video for their national final, in which along 10 known members, they included China and Mongolia among participating countries.

TV3, the malaysian broadcaster who organize Anugerah Juara Lagu, malaysian prestigious song contest held since 1986, who are also the broadcaster handling Malaysia's participation in Eurovision Song Contest Asia planned for this year in Bangok on November 14th, were asked on their post on Threads regarding upcoming finales on will AJL40 winner go on to represent them in Bangok, or do they plan a seperate national selection to decide their representative.

Their response? "Secret". The finales are typically held in months of February and March for last several editions, but this year they will be held in August, unusual for the contest. Especially suspicious with fact that national finales for ESC Asia will be held during months of August and September.
