And so two more national finales remained. The biggest national finale of first edition of ESC Asia, held by none other then Nepal, has finished, and as their representative among 11 contestants they have chosen Pratik Himal Rai, who becomes first ever Nepal Decides winner, and first representative of Nepal on what is aiming to be Asia's biggest stage.

Pratik is an Nepali artist with over decade od experience, mixing various elements in his songs like ballads, slow rocks, Nepali folk and folk-pop, reflecting on both traditional and modern influences that shaped him. He gained fame via various television shows in which he had participated through his life, and holds a Bachelor's degree in music.

What's your toughts on Nepal Decides winning entry? Do you like Pratik and his song, would you rather have Nepal went for someone else, like say Beyond who was one of fan-favorites, or duo of Bullet Flo & Preeti Kaur.

The board of RÚV does not want Iceland to participate in Eurovision unless Israel is barred from participating. This was decided at a meeting of the board today.

Diljá Ámundadóttir Zoëga, who is on the board of RÚV, published a protocol of the meeting on her Facebook page in the evening. It states that six of the nine board members have submitted a protocol stating that they direct the broadcaster "to inform the EBU that RÚV will not participate in Eurovision in 2027 unless Israel is barred from participating in the contest. The previous appeal to the EBU for Israel to be expelled from the competition is reiterated and it is requested that the broadcaster convey that reiteration."

In November, the board of RÚV passed a resolution directing the EBU to expel Israel from the competition, which is still ongoing.

Stefán Jón Hafstein, chairman of the board, says in an interview with the news agency that since the EBU has not taken a substantive position on it, the situation remains unchanged.

"It is quite clear that six board members were on the same page as at the end of last year."

The first national finale with no proper song releases, outside few of them dropping randomly last night, so most of us experienced all ten acts today. And among them, Mang x Daou won Thailand's Chosen One selection among the 10 competing artists, becoming first ever host representatives, first ever representatives of Thailand and first ever duo at Eurovision Asia Song Contest.

Let's start off with Mang, real name Piyatida Lekklang. Born on May 3rd, 2000, making her 26, Mang made her debut in April of 2021 as member of co-ed group bamm with their debut album "2cool2care". 3 years later, in September of 2024, Mang made her debut as an solo artist with her single "Stay Strong."

Her partner, Daou, real name Pittaya Saechua, is 28 year old Thai actor and singer of chinese ancsestry born on January 14th, 1998. His first real prominence comes in 2021, being introduced as one of participants in One 31's survival show LAZ iCON. He went on to take first place, securing his place in boy band LAZ1.

Daou would go on to make his debut as singer with LAZ1 with release of their debut single "Taste Me" in April of 2022, before going on to make his solo debut a year later in September of 2023 with his single "Would you mind?"

Same year as his musical debut he also made his acting debut, appearing as himself in TV series Rak Diao. His first lead role arrives year later in 2023, in series Love in Translation, sharing lead role with fellow actor Kantapon Jindataweephol. Another year later, the two would make another apperance in lead roles in romance drama TV series Century of Love.

And now today, after their duo team up at Thailand's first ever national finale, they will go on to represent the host country of Thailand in Bangkok in November of this year. What is your toughts on our winners? Did you like them? Would you have prefered someone else as winner? Were you not most impressed by them?

Our fourth national selection winner, this time serving only as a way to decide the song, Bae comes out as winner of the three competing songs, and will be used by Thinla who was internally selected to represent Laos as their first ever entry at Eurovision Asia Song Contest.

Thinlamphone Mahavong, better known under her artist name Thinla, is laotian singer coming from  Khong, Champasak, Laos. While her age is not properly known from more known sources, she seems to be around 24/23 years old.

Thinla began her music career in 2015 after signing with Nakhar Media, releasing songs under the stage name of Dork Ya Thinlamphone. The same year she released her debut song "Nong Tai Si Hai Num Bor" which gathered over 15 million views on Youtube.

In November 2018 she represented Laos at Chinese Singing Competition in Vientiane, where she also won the first place. About year later, in January of 2020, she placed second in Hạ Long International Music Festival in Vietnam.

In 2022 she represented Laos once again, collaborating with Zamio P at AXEAN Music Showcase Festival in Singapore.

And now once again, she will be representing her home country of Laos, this time on the stage of upcoming first ever edition of Eurovision Song Contest Asia.

After delays from original date of September 19th due to tragedy that struck the country, Nepal have now released the songs of the 11 artists who will be competing on October 7th to represent them at Eurovision Asia in Bangkok in November! And only few hours after revealing snippets. This is also our biggest NF of first ESC Asia season.

Day after Vietnam, Bangladesh release their songs next for their own national finale, Voice of Bangladesh, set for 30th September, where these 10 acts will be competing on becoming first ever representative for Bangladesh at Eurovision Asia in Bangkok in November. Simmilar to our first 3 NFs, Bangladesh is hosting the more usual artist + song combination NF, compared to Vietnam's and Laos's internal artist selection.

Few days after Laos, Vietnam have also revealed the songs for their own national finale. Simmilar to Laos, instead of going for artist and song mix, they have internally selected Tóc Tiên, and will instead use the national finale to serve as a way to decide on what song she will be going with to Bangok in November.

The national finale is scheduled for September 3rd.

After around 2 weeks of silence from any new releases, Laos has revealed the 3 songs that will be competing in their national finale. Compared to previous 3 National Finales, held until now, Laos's NF will serve solely as song selection, while internally they chose Thinla to represent the country at first ever edition of Eurovision Asia Song Contest.

And we the audience, along with jury and local Laotian public, will decide on September 23rd which song will travel with Thinla to Bangkok in November, even if official results will only be revealed day later on September 24th.

Toughts and prayers for people of Nepal.

Khabar Agency, the Kazakh national broadcaster, has applied for full membership for the European Broadcasting Union.

According to a response to a letter sent to the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Culture, Khabar Agency has applied to become a full member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.

Khabar Agency has been attempting to debut at Eurovision in recent year. Kemelbek Oishybayev, chairman of the board at Khabar Agency, attended the EBU General Assembly in London in 2025, where Kazakhstan’s participation in Eurovision were discussed with Noel Curran, Director General of the EBU. In late 2025, the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Culture stated that the EBU would discuss Kazakh participation in Eurovision in early 2026. The Ministry, however, noted that Kazakhstan’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest would require significant financial investment and that the current budget did not take this into account. Kazakhstan did not debut in the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

In April of this year, the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Culture revealed that Khabar Agency had been invited to participate in the upcoming debut edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia.

The EBU has yet to comment on Khabar Agency’s application or whether or not Kazakhstan will be allowed to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2027

With his victory, Junhee becomes first ever winner of Korea's Next Wave and representative of South Korea at Eurovision Song Contest Asia, along becoming our fifth artist out of currently 11 competing countries, with Philippines and Bhutan holding their national finales earlier and both Vietnam & Malaysia deciding to go with internal selection, even if former will hold a song only national finale.

Full name Park Jun-hee, he's an 32 year old artist born in South Jeolla Province.

A former CJ E&M and Jellyfish Entertainment trainee for 7 years, Park almost debuted three different times, before finally making his official debut in 2017 as member of k-pop group A.C.E.

A.C.E. is a k-pop group with origins in Seoul which conists of 5 members: Park Junhee, Lee Jiham, Wow, Kim Byeongkwan and Kang Yuchan. The group made their official debut with release of their single "Cactus" on May 23rd, 2017.

Besid musical career, Park also has acting career, being part of 2 different web drama's cast lists,  Sometoon and Tinted With You.

Park also had main role as Galileo in musical "We Will Rock You", sticking around until end of run on January 2nd, 2024.

In early June of 2025, he made covers of "Your Idol" and "Free", songs from popular netflix movie "KPop Demon Hunters", collaborating on latter with AleXa, familiar as winner of only ever edition of American Song Contest, and participant in this year's Melodifestivalen, qualifying to final qualification round though she failed to make it into the finales. She is also credited as one of writers on his winning song "Deep Dive".

On August 14th, 2025, Park made his solo debut with his single "Supernova", and released his first mini album "The First Day & Night" on September 12th of the same year.

And now he will be representing his county on November 14th in Bangkok, hoping to become first ever winner of Eurovision Song Contest Asia.

What are your toughts on Korea's Next Wave now that it has finished? Are you happy with Junhee's victory, would you have prefered someone else, or did no songs quite catch your attention?

According to Tuoi Tre's source, Toc Tien will be the representative of Vietnam to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026, an international music contest scheduled to take place in Thailand in November.

This is the Asian version of the Eurovision Song Contest, a music playground with a 70-year history. Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026 will be broadcast in coordination with Channel 3 (Thailand) and TV stations from many countries in the region.

In Vietnam, the program has the participation of VTV3 in broadcasting.

This year's season brings together representatives of 9 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Bhutan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Nepal, Laos and Bangladesh.

Since making her mark through The Remix in 2015, Toc Tien has gradually become an all-around artist of V-pop. She owns a series of hit songs such as Someone loves you like me, Tears of me wipe with new love, 906090...

The beauty also made her mark through many TV shows and art projects. A recent highlight is Beautiful Sister Riding the Wind 2024, where Toc Tien burst into tears and admitted that she lost her "career fire" after about 2 years of feeling confused and slowed down.

Throughout the journey of "riding the wind and turning the waves", she showed her stage staging thinking, sharp choreography, confident demeanor and powerful voice, constantly changing her style.

With performance experience and modern musical colors, Toc Tien is expected to bring an energetic performance when representing Vietnam at Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026.

And there we have it! Among 10 contestants, the fan favorite Carmelle comes first to become first ever Philippine Selection Night Winner, first ever Philippine representative at Eurovision Asia Song Contest, and our third ever artist in this new contest.

Carmelle, real name Carmelle Allyza San Juan Collado, is an 18 year old artist born in Sipocot to family of singers. Acording to her mother, by age of 3 Carmelle was already clearly talented singer.

In 2019, at age of 12, Carmelle won total of 7 gold medals at World Championships of Performing Arts which was held in Long Beach, California, where she represented her home nation Philipinnes.

That same year she competed in fourth season of The Voice Kids Philipines as member of Bamboo Mañalac's team, finishing as first runner up.

In 2024, she represented and won Tawag ng Tanghalan: School Showdown at age of 17 as representative of King Thomas Learning Academy.

She also collabed with 26th season of The Voice winner Sofronio Vasquez on new rendition of the OPM song "Maalaala Mo Kaya, which now serves as theme song for Tv show "Maalaala Mo Kaya".

And now at age of 19, she will represent Philipinnes at first edition of Eurovision Asia Song Contest.
