If an AI card calls for a trait to be activated, but that trait hasn't been played yet, what happens? Is it just ignored?

Why is only cutting frowned upon?

Like everybody knows that smoking and drinking is bad for you but we can accept that adults can decide for themselves, but if I say that I hurt myself to relax that's wrong somehow? And on top of that I dont smoke or do drugs so surely it should balance it out

Are doors supposed to not block light?

My root cellar is behind a door and the light level is the same as the outdoors. When I put blocks in front of the door the light level drops to zero. Bug or feature?

Rattan-RE3-SHLV, the workhorse of my space program

Powered by six methalox shuttle derived engines and four kerolox boosters, the Rattan can carry 150 tons to LKO and land back on Kerbin. Funds wise, it's about 45% recoverable assuming all methalox is burned.

Quick rant: so it's clearly based on the soviet Energia, right? What the hell were they doing with that thing? They soviets were brilliant at building launch vehicles (ignore the N1). Before Cygnus and Dragon the Proton and Soyuz ran the ISS. Then in the late 80s they build the Energia, an absolutely incredible launch vehicle with likely the best first stage engines ever built. And what do they use it for? Launching a shuttle because hey, thats what the americans are doing, and then never using it again. Get your act together.

My rather wacky Duna ship

The crew module is far away from the nuclear engines to protect the crew. The power module worked as a counterweight. It was horribly unbalanced and had barely enough fuel.

Tips, tricks and trivia

I thought it would be fun to share some stuff that new and even older players may not know. If it makes you think "how did I not know that" it probably fits. Some of my examples:

Pressing alt+c in flight makes your crew modules transparent

Clicking windows in IVA zooms your camera into them

Holding alt in construction makes the part only clip to the green nodes

Clicking the altimeter cycles it between ASL and AGL

You can timewarp during burns by holding alt+.

Caps lock enables finer controls in flight

In the settings menu you can change it so the closest approach is always shown

In the same menu you can change patched conics count, which will show your orbit further after orbital encounters

In the F12 debug menu, under aero you can display drag forces on your plane in flight.

Yes I know Matt Lowne is making a video about tips.
