Everyone wants to talk about the Horn, I want to talk about the storm.

Everyone wants to talk about the Horn, I want to talk about the storm.

Something has bothered me since 2018 that we have never received an answer to, that I really hope we will finally have answered in Laufey: what the hell is up with the red storm?
When Atreus loses his cool and drops sick, the first thing to happen is the sky turns a churning, blood red color and ash rains down. What is the reason for this? I have a few idea that I’ve played with since the , but I want to hear for y’all. What do we think caused the storm? Is it connected to Laufey?

I think the World Tree might play a part in Laufey

I’m replaying both games, and methodically going through what we know and are told because Barlog has stated more than once that these connections were made years ago.
I noticed that Freya’s explanation of The World Tree, closely matches the explanation of the Everywhen. I think there is a larger connection there than we think. Like maybe each pantheon world has it own representation of the Everywhen like the world terr or the flame of Olympus? Just spitballing here. Do we have any connections I missed?

Who might we get as a guest artist?

So we got Hozier featured in a song on GOWR which was astonishing, we got Eivor in both games (although she is not as well known as Hozier). Who do we think we might get as a featured artist track for GOWL?

This combines a lot of the theories that have already been stated but it’s worth discussing

I think the possibility of seeing Athena again is incredibly high. The mask that Faye touches in the trailer is strikingly similar to Athena’s design, and what with all the connections between Athena’s ascension and the everywhen. What do y’all think?

Who’s ready to sob like a baby for the new soundtrack?

Me! The answer is me. I remember when they did the sand art music reveal for 2018, and I was moved to tears instantly.
Bear McCreary really made one of the most amazing anthems and two absolutely gorgeous albums out of these games. I have zero doubt this one will be any less beautiful.
Do you guys have any albums that are similar or music that you listen to as much as this soundtrack?

Okay, the mask. What do we think folks?

It’s pretty clear we’re gonna get some answers as to what the mask is and some background. What theories we got?
I personally think either it’s connected to Athena because when Faye pulls the armor from the corpse, the mask she touches is very similar in design to Athena’s armor.

But my real theory is that this will somehow connect to the Green Knight from Arthurian legend

I just want to chat theories!

I don’t want to discuss any of the discourse or hate for Laufey. I’m tired of talking about it.
I just want to discuss theories!! There is nobody in my circle who cares as much about god of war as me so my wife suggested I post here and try to make a theory discussion friend. I want to hear all of them for Laufey.
The one I find the most compelling is that the sword is Excalibur, and that she will be Morgan LA FEY.
But what i haven’t seen people discuss is what’s up with the observation tower? Looks a lot like a wizard tower to me… like Merlin maybe?
What have you got? Feel free to message me too!

TLDR: Supervisor is pissed I’m better at his job and had a tantrum for the second time publicly that brought HR down like lightning.

So for some much needed context this is now the second time I have posted this man making a total ass of himself and getting insta karma straight to the dome.
I am a handyman/maintenance tech in an apartment building. Red is my supervisor (no real power, hetero mean old man) and is constantly angry at me because I’ve been here a month and have raised their google score (I am actually named in 5 reviews as a positive) and strengthened their pretty unstable relationship with their customers. How? Well I’m nice and I actually fix things instead of slapping a coat of paint on it and yelling at the resident about “responsibility”. Imagine that.
Red is not good at his job, has zero actual power beyond assigning tasks and ordering parts (neither of which he actually does) and is visibly angry and jealous that I am making him look like the clown he is.
Well after spending five minutes explaining to me that I’m not professional and “having too much fun at work”, he proceeded to have this little tantrum in the group chat which brought HR down like God Herself.

🔥 Hot ▲ 16.6k r/WorkRant

This felt like the scene in Jurassic Park where they had to call another dinosaur to deal with the one chasing them.

For context: I knew full well my boss was going to try and break the law so I've started asking stupid questions in the group chat to bait him into activating HR.

Also worth mentioning my last job is being sued by several people for similar issues, and they are losing on all fronts.
