I have always avoided shotguns

I don’t like breaking my map navigation/tactics to get ammo, and I’ve been so reliant on HC/PR/SR that I’ve developed pretty good tactics at those ranges and play each map to those strengths most of the time.

Thinking about testing the waters, I see a lot of sliding, charging, and death from above against me. How do you guys manage ammo resources, and what are some good examples of spots on some of the match that you’ll habitually switch to shotguns?

How do you choose archetypes and what would be the application for each in the PvP setting?

Difference in players at comp ranks

Hey I’m looking for some resources to study up on how player behavior and tactics change as you work your way up in the competitive playlists.

I will watch videos about PvP and there will sometimes be comments like “a lot of gold players will do x” or “you don’t really see this kind of thing once you’re out of bronze” or “this weapon is really great at bronze and silver, but at gold and platinum it’s too easy to counter”

I was hoping someone could help me find more resources like this or share some experience with me.

I’ve never been a PvP guy but have been dabbling over the years for certain rewards that are reasonable and not gated by performance (if you play long enough, you’ll get your rank up)

Started low bronze and made it to silver, just trying to elevate my game and understand the change in common tactics/loadouts as things get sweatier.

I can’t find anything on the red “medal” called “superior farewells”

I have found the other red pseudo-medals via google and what they mean, but I keep scoring the medal called “superior farewells” and google is giving me nothing. I can find descriptions of unusually violent/king of the hill etc. but superior farewells gives me nothing. Any idea what this medal indicates?

Why didn’t bungie just make Marathon a Destiny 2 game mode that nobody wants to play instead?

Counterpoint, why didn’t they just take Gambit and dump a 9-figure budget into making it a standalone game instead? Are they stupid?

Called out by my bandmate on reddit. He took my 1959 strat and traded it for a Silver Sky to get me to play a solo.
