Can you help me find IEMs under $100 that will LAST?

I cant find any good videos or sources online that pertain to my search. Every IEM ranking i see is based almost entirely on looks and sound quality, while my priorities are different.

#1 is reliability. I have bought "well-reviewed," praised IEMs in the past that turned out to last only a dozen or so uses. My latest pair, Kiwi Cadenzas, lasted somewhere around 5 uses before they stopped working. I am not tough on them, and handle them with care.

#2 is noise cancelling abilities of some kind. It does not have to be ANC or any fancy tech. Just buds that block sound well. #3 is comfort. If i cant wear them for extended periods without pain then they're worthless to me.

I hope im not being 'picky' with all this. Especially at a price range where it's hard to find buds that fall into all the right categories. Just looking for y'all's recommendations.

What would you say the biggest issues with this beat are? (Turn Volume Up)

Just looking for general advice. I'm really not happy with how it's turning out. It just feels flat and generic to me.

I am aware some parts are underproduced. It is in no way a 'fleshed out' beat, and i haven't spent much time on it. Just losing interest in continuing work on it.

Every Time I Die, I Lose a Part of my World (Part 2)

Before we begin: this is a follow-up to this post. The basic groundwork of the problem is laid there, and in my comments on that post. However, I've come to a slightly different understanding of the situation since then, and want to create a comprehensive list of all that i currently know and hypothesize about the oddities of my world.

This is not an ARG. This is not a meme post. This is a genuine glitch/error in my 1.0.0 world that I find really fascinating, as well as vaguely threatening for the rest of my world which I've poured over 100 hours into and don't want to lose.

This will be a long post. Please stick with me if you're intrigued.

The story goes that I was on some mining or foresting expedition and had an inventory of good stuff on me. I was heading back to my base when a creeper snuck up on me and killed me. Upon my death, the game crashed. So, I loaded back in, thinking nothing of it. But when I was on my way to where I died, my game crashed again... then again. It seemed that when i would load the chunks where I died, my game would crash.

Either way, the game stayed running for a couple seconds before crashing, so i was able to slowly inch my way toward my items, grab them, then leave the area. I didn't go back for months.

Recently, I thought it would be a cool part of my world to have a No-Entry Zone, marked off with an ominous wall around the area that causes crashes. It would help me know where I can and cannot tread, as well as look sick. I started mapping the borders, using trail-and-error methods to create torch paths around it. (Would build the walls later.) But as I did, i started noticing oddities.

IMAGE 1:

Let's start with where this is located in my world. It's not too close, but not too far from my main base (in the lower-right section of the map). The green blob toward the left is my death location. The white lines are the point at which I can no longer travel forward while my render distance is set to far. The yellow lines are the limit while my render distance is set to short. The area squared with red is what I like to call the 'Center of the storm,' the area from which all anomalies seem to be emanating from. Question marks are for areas that I have not mapped out and determined the distance at which I crash.

You can see that the 'center of the storm' is not even inside the area that crashes my computer. Initially, i didn't know where the center of this whole mess was located, so when I started moving towards the red area and, instead of crashing, began to lag terribly, i thought i had found a way to approach the anomaly without crashing. But that's not the case. They appear to be two separate sections of my world that are effected in different ways.

On top of this, while it is true that the distance at which i crash is dependent on my render distance, i have stood right next to these crash-chunks, and had the entire yellow area fully loaded and not crashed, only doing so when i step foot inside. So, how is it that it's render distance dependent, yet not dependent on whether or not the chunks are loaded?

(You can even see that the location of my death isn't effected by lag or crashing at all. I can walk around it just fine.)

Well, I STILL don't have an answer to this question, so if you have any ideas, let me know. I've traversed this area in MC Edit and didn't see anything peculiar.

IMAGE 2:

While I'm still trying to map the border around where I crash, I find this in the distance. I did not know that chunk error was there, and this is my first indication that I'm experiencing something similar to a Brabantia situation, which is known to be caused by converting save files from or to older or newer versions. The thing is, I have never changed versions once. Not while playing this world. It was made in 1.0, it's always been played in 1.0.

However, I have switched computers at some point, which may or may not cause file instabilities/inconsistences when copy-pasting them across drives...

or i could be completely wrong. That's why I am asking you for advice here.

IMAGE 3:

Let's skip forward a bit. I still do not know how, but I managed to get into, or near, the red zone without crashing. The lag was crazy, yes, but i was able to move around which was good. I got closer and found this. Chickens. When I saw this, i knew what had happened... at least for this part of the world.

In RGN's video on the Brabantia incident, we see out-of-place chunks and re-rendered portions of the world, alongside the biggest part of that mystery, which was the mobs. Somehow, with a strange glitch, hundreds upon hundreds of mobs spawned in a single block, which caused crashing and lag that made the game unplayable.

Lag? Check. Crashing? Check. Tons of mobs? Check. Glitched chunks? Check. Seems like something similar... but then it gets weird.

IMAGE 4:

It doesn't get weird just yet. This is a picture I took in creative, after converting the world to 1.5.2. The arrow says image 1, but it's actually image 2 in this post, and i was standing on the 'border' line when i took it. This is where I confirmed that there were three chunks causing issues around this area. However, their distance from my death location and the chunks that cause me crashes still confuses me.

IMAGE 5:

This is the crash report when entering chunks that insta-crash me. Not the red zone. Just thought I'd throw this in here.

IMAGE 6:

The three glitched chunks.

Now, i don't have any pictures for this, just anecdotes. The reason this post is titled 'every time i die' and the reason i am concerned for the rest of my world is that: this glitch has happened more than once.

I was mapping out the border, the white border from image 1, when i noticed some gold in a ravine. I thought, 'why not' and went for it. I don't remember what killed me, be it a mob or fall damage. But i died quick, and crashed quick. I came back to the area of my death, hoping that my fears weren't true, but they were. A whole new section of my world began causing crashes, centered around my new death.

Now, i have to say that I have since tested deaths and could not replicate the glitch. I had a friend download the world and test deaths, and he could not replicate the glitch. But the possibility that, at any time, a death could be more than a death... scares me. I don't want to lose this world.

IMAGE 7:

Here is where things get weirder. As i was clearing out the many chickens that spawned, the lag began to subside and things got calmer. I thought the worst of it was over. Then, out of nowhere, a massive and sudden increase in lag prompted me to run for me life out of that area and relog. I had been around that area for many minutes beforehand and nothing happened. Among the things i did in that area before was inspect the corrupted chunks closer.

This involved placing some blocks inside the lower chunk.

IMAGE 8:

I was stunned. I stared at this wall for a solid 20 seconds, trying to remember if i had taken down the blocks i'd built. I hadn't.

So they were gone, as if the chunk was reverted perfectly back to it's original, glitched state. Let's see here... I build in the chunk, I get a massive, sudden bout of lag later on, then I return to find the chunks reset? Yeah, I think you can follow where I'm going with this.

So my current hypothesis is that these chunks are not just corrupted, but are continuously rewriting themselves while I'm playing the game. I have never heard of any sort of behavior like this from minecraft, a game I've been playing for around 8 years now. Is this even possible? For already-generated chunks to be re-generated while the world is open and being played? Please leave your thoughts.

IMAGE 9:

I had my friend download the world and test it out for himself. He first started on AT Launcher, which gave some convenient logs that I hadn't had before, using the default launcher.

A message stating that a chunk is supposed to be in one location, but is in fact in another. Well, this might be useful if, as you can see from previous images, the chunks that I'm concerned with are nowhere near the coordinates stated in these error messages.\

It is worth mentioning that, while in MC Edit, i noticed several other chunks nearby that were corrupted/re-generated, but I have never had any trouble in those areas with crashing or lagging and was not even aware of them until now.

Conclusion:

I still have some questions that I hope y'all can answer, but this is my current hypothesis:

Possibly because of copying the world to a different computer, then likely triggered by my death, a bunch of glitches occurred in my world that caused an event similar to a Brabantia incident, which created corrupted chunks that, for whatever reason, re-generate themselves when disturbed, which causes severe lag. At some point, and possibly because of one of these re-generations (or the first generation), an entity spawning error caused hundreds of chickens to appear and spread over a small area, causing the majority of the lag.

Alongside this, there are random sections of my world around my death location that insta-crash my game, and I still have no idea why, and there doesn't yet seem to be a rhyme or reason to their appearance and shape.

So my remaining questions:

-What causes certain sections and chunks to insta-crash my game?

-Why are none of these anomalies centered over my death location?

-Why were any of these anomalies triggered by my death? (I am quite certain they were not there before)

-Why did this death-glitch happen again, effecting more of my world?

-Why couldn't the death-glitch be recreated intentionally?

-Why are the crash-chunks (in yellow, first image) dependent on render distance, yet can be loaded in without crashing?

Thank you for reading. I hope you've found this as interesting as I have.

Every time I die, I lose a part of my world.

EDIT: This is twice I've had to say this: IF YOU DONT HAVE LEGITIMATE ADVICE, DO NOT COMMENT.

EDIT 2: This is a Brabantia situation, but is somehow linked to player deaths instead of world file conversions? Hundreds of mobs causing the crashing and lag, but three mysterious chunks that I have yet to inspect. Still feel free to comment with help.

I've been playing on a 1.0.0 world for quite a while, and have died quite a few times before. However, suddenly after dying once when coming back from a mining trip or something, (i don't quite remember) the chunks around where i died became corrupted or glitched in some way.

Now, when i return to that area and my game loads those chunks back in, minecraft begins to lag horribly, then crashes. Sometimes it outright crashes without even lagging.

This really wouldn't bother me that much, since the area where this happens isn't that interesting to me and is far enough from my base. However, when trying to map the 'border' of this area, I died again. I think it was my first death since the one that caused this glitch. Well, this death happened in an area that was not effected by the glitched chunks.

However, when i returned to get my stuff... i found that those chunks around my new death had suffered the same fate.

So basically, every time i die, the chunks around my death bug out and crash my game whenever loaded. Now I fear dying near my base and completely destroying my world.

Any ideas what could cause this? Why it keeps happening on death? Can it be fixed? I'm not so much worried about the broken chunks that already exist, as i am the glitch happening again and again.

(Image 1: a random chunk that I just now found. Doesn't crash when loaded, but very close to the problematic chunks, which is whydon't get closer in the pic.

Image 2: Crash report when rendering the glitched chunks.

No screenshot of it, but when I near the area from certain angles, I believe I can render the chunks without crashing, but it lags my game to the point of MUCH less than 1fps. Like, a frame every 20-or-so seconds. When in F3, it tells me it's entities.)

How do I know I have true faith?

Probably gets asked a lot, but still.

I've tried to be (or thought I was) a believer for... perhaps 3 or 4 years? Now I have come over Romans 8:16 and it has struck fear into me. It was never a verse i paid attention to before, probably because i didn't understand it (and I hope I still don't understand it), but I heard a trusted pastor speak about how believers will know they are saved because the Spirit will put that assurance within us.

I have never, not once in my life, felt any type of assurance that i was saved. So, thus, i have come to the conclusion that I have never been saved... but i still don't want to believe that.

I believe God exists, that Christ is real, that He died for the world's sins, that He was raised from death, that He is the only way to heaven, that through only faith in Him can one be saved.

But I do not believe... that i believe... I have never had a profound experience with God, I have never undergone anything that would serve as evidence that God's Spirit was ever within me, or that He was even paying attention to me. Sure, I've felt what could be described as 'conviction' or a similar sensation of vague guidance, but I could easily chock that up to my own conscience or something similar, not that I want to attribute the works of the Spirit to anything else, but I just don't have that faith that it was the Spirit.

I have never loved God, never felt any sort of real connection with Him, but I have wanted to. I still want to, to love Him and be made right by Him. I want to believe. It is all I want. I would give up my life to truly believe. But I don't believe I do. I doubt I ever did.

How can one know? Can one know? Some say yes, you will know if you are saved, and if you don't then you likely aren't. Perhaps some say you can never really know. It cannot be one way or the other. I believe God wants us to know because He has given us verses like 1 John 5:13.

Can I know?

Is there hope for me if I want to believe but can't? (read full body)

I've thought i was a believer in Christ and the Word for many years, tried to get closer to God, to do His will, to cut sin out of my life.

I was never to great at pleasing Him, focused way too muchon what i do wrong instead of what i can do right, all that. Faith was always a bit weak but I never REALLY doubted the ruth of Christ.

Until today.

Was listening to a sermon about the Holy Spirit, when Romans 8:16 was mentioned and the preacher stated that believer will know they are saved because the Spirit will assure them.

So... I don't recall a time in my life, especially not recently, that I've ever been 'assured.' If at any point you asked me 'are you saved,' i would've hesitated because i always had a tinge of doubt. But here's the thing: that doubt was always related to the belief that I was saved. Not that Jesus saves, but that He would save ME.

I have always believed God is real, that Christ is the only way to heaven, that he died on the cross for the world's sins. I have always hesitated to believe that I am saved. it's not even tied to any form of humility, or anything like 'why would he save me, such a filthy sinner?'

I don't know why I doubt, why I've ever doubted. but I just... have. and today, I feel like it came to a head. cried over the Bible asking God to make me believe, to give me the faith I need to be saved. because that faith comes from him, and him only, right? he's the one who chooses his elect.

I don't think I am elect.

I'm afraid. I want to be his, no matter the cost. no matter what I have to remove from my life, no matter what the world may think of me, no matter the danger, I want to be God's child. I admit it's not because I love him, primarily it is because I am afraid of punishment, of condemnation. I want to love him, to do things for the right reasons, to be pure of heart.

I guess I'm rambling a little. anyway, are there any verses on this? someone who wants to be saved, but doesn't have the necessary faith?

Are there any cheap alternatives to Kastar batteries? Read Body.

Kastar batteries are everywhere, though after my recent concerning experience with one, i want to stay away from the brand due to quality concerns and such. I know there are still plenty of genuine sony infolithiums out there, but the prices are a bit much for my taste (with battery AND charger), especially after paying so much for the camcorder itself. Any cheap, relatively well-made alternatives that you know of/have good personal experience with?

High-Pitched Battery Noise, Should I Be Concerned?

Bought a Kastar USB-C rechargeable battery off ebay (or Amazon, i dont remember...) and it's making a high-pitched tone, even while not on charger, and not plugged into a camcorder. the buzzing only started when I put it in the camcorder and turned it on. should I be concerned? turn audio up on video if you can't hear it.

[Mobile] [Played in 2021-2023] 2D, Vertical Platformer Game Where You Control A Cube

Mobile

Platformer... i think? All vertical movement, no landscape to explore to the side.

Estimated year of release: I think i played it sometime around 2021-2023, but i think i remember the game feeling like it was an older one, perhaps from 2015 or something, but I could be wrong.

It was very simplistic, basic geometric shapes and with a darker sorta color scheme. It was all 2d.

I can't remember exactly, but there was a single cube in the middle of the screen that i, for some reason, believe was either able to be manipulated (like... squishy in some way?) or messed with in some way, which may have been part of a game mechanic.

While the game itself may not have been anything groundbreaking or even interesting to some, i remember it having a very unique (possibly only 1 song) soundtrack, which is actually what I'm looking for here. It was very atmospheric, almost cinematic sounding, with a far-off wail or cry in the distance that chimed in every once and a while.

I believe the environment which you are in is like... this deep pit, with black walls on either side of you and the only way to go is up. You start at the bottom and make your way higher and higher, though i forget what the exact mechanics of the game were. I don't think it was boring, average platformer stuff or i wouldn't have been interested in the game. It had to have some form of gimmick.

Again, all of this is based off my fuzzy memory and some details might not even be correct, so the game may differ a bit. It was just some free mobile game that, at the time, intrigued me enough to click install. It would've been on Google Play, and i don't think it would've had some generic name like 'block jumper 2d' or 'super square platformer' or something. I think it may have had a unique and interesting name... though, again, fuzzy memory.
