Just unsubbed from GirlDinnerDiaries - Mods retroactively removing "problematic" posts

Preface that I'm not an active commenter there, and I mostly just read and pick up tips/similar stories here and again. This is also the first time I've documented this phenomenon, but I've seen it several times before.

GirlDinnerDiaries has been trending recently, and a big theme of the sub is that the most popular posts usually involve women in problematic relationships with men. These get FLOODED with validation and support and advice and general good vibes, which I think is wonderful (Even if the sub is mostly one-sided storytelling and echo chamber-ness but that's besides the point).

However, what happens when the reverse scenario applies? I'm a person who likes to open tabs in the background so that I can come back to read them when I have time to, and to my (admittedly at this point non-surprise) surprise, a post involving a woman with BPD who had a physical outburst on her partner has been removed and locked by the moderators after just a few hours. No mod comments explaining why, not even a "jeez, you can't behave, locking", just gone. I scrolled through hundreds of comments looking for anything problematic and found nothing. All of it kind, respectful comments telling OP to come to terms with the fact that they are abusive and that they need to seek help.

This is not the first time I've seen something like this, but it is the first time I've bothered documented it, because it just rubbed me the wrong way. People go there looking for help, and removing post just because they don't fit the "Just for us girlies 😊🎀 this is a safe space xD" vibe is completely wrong. If you don't believe me, look for yourself. Try searching for any post on GirlDinnerDiaries where OP is being called out for being in the wrong, despite support being given. It's all been removed.

Physics at VT

I'm a rising HS senior who's extremely interested in majoring in physics at Virginia Tech. Can any physics students here give me their two cents on the program here? How big are the class sizes? What are internship and research opportunities like?
