Are there Amy guidelines to making your own spells?
So the first thing I gravitate towards in any media is the magic, especially spellcasting magic. However when I looked in the chapter for sorcery, which was lumped in with martial arts, I found the spells to be rather lacking, so I want to come up with my own.
I can patch up some guidelines. A first circle attack spell will cost 1 wp and 15 sm,include a specific benefit(like bonus damage against groups), and create a hazard upon ending.
Alas I can't find any rhyme or reason with the control spell benefits, I'd there something I'm missing here or did they just decide those on a whim?
How do we feel about the new characteristics & exercises?
I haven't played the beta, but I have seen the duck duck video on it. I am... hesitant about it, one of the things I liked about outward was the lack of leveling and stats that reduce your experience to just grinding up points to turn into numbers to make bigger numbers, and this feels like a very big step toward those systems for me
Am I just being too close-minded, or is everyone else feeling this too?
What is Adrian's name a reference to?
When trying to come up with a name for Adrian's mate, Grace translates to Adrian. Wheni looked ot up behind the name says that Adrian means "of the water" which makes a little sense. The lover of the land(rock) would be the sea. However, that feels far too poetic for Grace.
Is there a movie reference I am missing here?
BTW I am only on chapter 16 so sorry if it's explained later on
