Sico ceiling paint making me nutty

bought a can today to do a bathroom ceiling and i can hardly work with it. its like spreading tar, pink tinted and dries almost instantly, ridges from the roller no matter how much i try to spread, took a half gallon on a 6x8 ceiling and still the mild water staining it showing.

it is really frustrating me.

Woodfloor downstairs

i live in manitoba where there are extreme moisture changes seasonally. I have a downstairs thats about 4ft below ground level then a crawlspace under that. I need to replace all the flooring. after shopping around I found a deal on a really nice light colored and somewhat greyish oak flooring. it is slightly less than the high end lvp I was considering.

so the question is: Will this hold up down there? I have a good humidifier in the crawl space but while that will help in summers the humidity goes to almost 0 all winter. What could I do that one wouldn't usually to make it last with gaps etc?

The dang nails and screw flats

I go to the regent winnipeg home depot. probably a dozen times in a year. i have returned home to find nails or screws in my tires five times now. my neighbor just came home with one too. that parking lot is hazardous.

Repairing after water in basement

i had some water in the basement and had to remove a fair bit of drywall from the bottom of walls. i have a small amount of experience drywalling. enough to do it with a bit of extra sanding. butt joints were still a bit of bother. can i use the tapered ends of the new drywall and cut back some of the paper of the old drywall so that the tape embeds completely so it is easier? any tips?
