I know, rule of thumb: "only upgrade every 2 gens", but the problem is , my current gpu only has 1 year warranty, the brand is a quirky brand "ASL rtx4070" and I don't see 6000 series coming anytime soon with this stupid AI craze nor do I believe gpu prices will stay or drop from what it is now. Should I swap in my 4070 for a brand new 5070 with 3 years warranty ? hell, planning to buy some HDDs next month out of fear for longest shortage too. would be happy if you guys have some insight on the cost of PC things since I've been out of the loop for too long I can't catch on with the news at all.

Today I've been banned by facebook for child sexual exploitment. Just wow, I had this account for 10 years, never got hacked before , only to die at the hands of facebook for something I never did. Now I do have several sexual posts saved on my facebook because I'm a sexually active teen, even those posts are always 1 completely normal panel of some porn or porn comic, I never commented/liked/shared anything contains sexual content or a child, all dogs and games post. The only child content I have on my facebook is me with my friends at 13 yo and so on, then a self-made banner about STOPPING CHILD ABUSE from 4 years ago. My brother who never saved anything, never commented anything, never liked anything, only chatted with us in messenger also got banned for the same reason. Before the CSE ban, I got another suspend for "creating accounts to avoid pages ban" which is bullshit because I never liked being an influencer. If this cancer hasn't spreaded to my university and used for group chat, no fucking way am I touching this piece of shit again, piece of cunt with no privacy. I lost 10 years of memories because of this shit, in the era of AI btw. back-up everything precious to you on facebook now , you never know when it's your turn.

Hello, first time here, I never had the thought of hoarding datas before. But after seeing my google photos of my dead dog, the fact that I can't remember how I used to look like in 2ndary school and not a lot of photos was taken back then, the purge of several pirates sites that I love, it's time I make my own time capsule before I miss anything of my youth more and quite possibly the precious moments of my family. I'm looking at a pretty established small hard drives store before they stop selling on the online platform. I'll be hoarding not a lot, couple tens of gbs of photos/videos, a lot of media/comics/novels ( can't estimate yet, but probaly will be hundreds gbs I guess ), thousands of retro games. The HP enterprise 4tb is 90$, the WD ultrastar is 200$, both used with 1 month store warranty, it's roughly 40$ per 2TB.

How much hard drive space did you start with ? Did you quickly fill up your starting HDD set ? Also I plan to use like a converter case or a dock so I don't have to open up my pc and risk burning the drive if I don't do something right, also so I can disconnect the drive when I don't feel like hoarding to prolong lifespan, will the thermal ruin my drive ?

I bought a legion y700 gen 3 tablet over 6 months ago for streaming and normal tablet uses ( youtube, novels, essays ). The screen is sharp, colorful and overall a treat to look at, tablet is also plenty powerful to throw anything at it. However, it has limited china 5ghz bands which means I occasionally can't connect to my beloved pc in good wifi environment. There is also the fact that this y700 and the ipad pro m1 have very shitty external monitor support that I can't get a playable experience when I connect them to external monitor/TV. So I'm looking at another option for remote streaming, something that is compact, powerful with good external monitor support.

So that leads me to handhelds, especially pc handhelds cause I'm a sucker for pc, got plenty mobile devices experience already so I want some portable desktop experience, also just because I'm pretty FOMO-ed at high tech things that I never owned ( lost couple hundreds $ this way ) so this post was made to get more excuses to sell my y700 and get a rog ally z1e and make sure I don't waste my money. What do you do with your handheld outside just remote streaming ? do you find yourself playing games natively on it alot ?

My zirconia crowned tooth ( canaled ) from when I was a kid fell off. Apparently my tooth's body was too short and that crown couldn't hold on no more. I do noticed the crown has this small hole in it after I picked it up, seems like dentist went a bit overboard with reshaping+years of eating wore it out ( my guess ). So this time I'm looking at porcelain-titanium crown, it's 60$ cheaper and I don't really care about aethestic because the tooth is R16 ( upper right 6th tooth, so a molar tooth ). Is there anything beside cosmetics benefits that justify the higher cost with zirconia crown ? Hope I can get a quick answer before they start manufacturing my new crown.
