How much money you think i would need or is goodd to have to buy a good car that I can tune and keep. (I am from Germany)

Hi I want to buy myself a BMW maybe and tune it ofc (ECU/HARDWARE) anyways I am looking for something for maybe 4000€/4200€ (I am in Germany)

I want to get a Petrol one but I am not very well in the BMW World and wanted to ask you guys for advice like

- Wich Car Modell is good

- Wich engine should I look for

- Dose it has potential for Tuning

I would appreciate it very much for every help 👍

I wanted to ask some of you guys with experience what cars you can recomend me and maybe help me out, I am open to any brand but i need like a 4 door and I like Petrol not Disel.

I have my eyes on maybe a Audi A6 C5 2.7T Biturbo but I am not sure.

If you guys have some Ideas or Tipps I would love to hear them

Hey everyone,

I'm new to the tuning scene and I'm interested in getting into ECU tuning. For now, I've been learning as much as I can through videos, simulations, and other resources because I want to properly understand what I'm doing before I start working on an actual car.

I'd like to eventually start doing this myself, and I'm thinking about getting a 1.8T (VW or Audi, haven't decided on the exact model yet) as my first project car.

The problem is that I'm not really sure what tools/software and hardware I actually need to get started. I've read that things like MPPS V18 are commonly used on 1.8Ts and other cars because they're relatively cheap, but there seem to be tons of different sellers and versions, so I have no idea which ones are actually decent in terms of quality and reliability.

One important thing for me: I want everything to run through my laptop. I don't want to use standalone tuning tablets or dedicated devices like that.

So, for someone with experience in ECU tuning, what would you recommend for a beginner working with a 1.8T?

I'm mainly looking for recommendations for:

• ECU flashing/read-write hardware
• Tuning software
• Logging/diagnostic software
• Anything else I would realistically need to get started

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Moin, ich bin neu in der Tuning Szene und will gerne ECU Tuning machen und mache mich immer mit Videos und Simulationen schlauer so das ich erstmal alles verstehe.

Ich will gerne selber mal anfangen und will mir als mein erstes Projektauto einen 1.8T kaufen (VW oder Audi welche Modell weiß ich noch nicht) aber ich weiß halt nicht welche "Tools (Software/Hardware)" man genau dafür braucht ich habe schon gelesen das MPPS V18 oft für 1.8T genutzt wurden oder andere Autos da es günstig ist aber da kommt wieder das das es ja viele anbieter gibt und ich nicht weiß welche davon besser sind wegen Qualität etc.

Ach ja bei mir war halt wichtig das es alles über meinen Laptop laufen soll, also kein Lounch oder solche sage mal Tablets oder sowas.

Kann mir da jemand mit Erfahrung weiterhelfen ?
