So this is a bit of a specific request, hopefully it exists. I'm looking for a princess/queen x jester romance (preferably somewhat dark romance), where she's a serious person, for whatever reason shes tormented or just badass and not easily amused, and he's a similar tormented soul and can make her laugh. Maybe he also is the only person who isn't afraid of her and can hold banter with her. Preferably they knew eachother as children, but him or his family was forced out of the kingdom and he came back as a jester, i would love them to have some kind of previous backstory.

things im NOT looking for:
- no goofy/sunshine mmc. like i said, he should be brooding and preferably has dry or ironic dark humor thats witty enough to make fmc laugh
- no "pretty little princess" fmc, again, brooding main characters. she should be a badass/serious queen/princess
- no cheating, no pregnancy
- no non-human main characters
- no large age gap
things i AM looking for:
- brooding main characters
- when having sex/being intimate, he lets her let go of the stress of constantly having to be in control and he takes over
- she finds him annoying or dislikes him at first
- i love good banter!
