If you're upgrading from a previous Pixel... What generation do you think is worthwhile to upgrade from?

So I'm upgrading from the Pixel 6 Pro.

Honestly I wouldn't even be doing that if my 6 Pro wasn't actively trying to self destruct.

I've had to send it to repair 2 or 3 times now... 1. When the bottom of the screen stopped responding to touch.

  1. When the battery started to fail and the charger port stopped working.

  2. I can remember the last one XD

Now... The power button and volume buttons fell out and if ever it dies I need to turn it on with a needle lol. It's now also getting very very hot and I worry the battery could be swelling.

So... The pixel 11 launch has been well timed.

I've seen people post about upgrading from the 9 or 10 and I can't quite understand why lol... So what's your point where you think there's a justifiable reason to upgrade outside of damage.

Wtf Google Support

So I sent my watch to them for repair because the battery was dying within a couple of hours and getting HOT. And I thought it was swelling.

The watch is under warranty and I just received this...

They want me to pay more than I paid for the watch initially for a replacement!?

The horrors of my old PC, the PSU was a tentacle monster.o

So back in the days of "just buy another HDD" external hard drives were really slow...

So some elements of this PC are from 2008ish. I think it has 3 500gb HDD, 1 1.25tb HDD and a Solid state that I don't remember the capacity of haha.

I am currently trying to turn this monster back on to retrieve some old photos but getting to the pins to clear the cmos is a struggle.

Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 - Is there a way to downgrade firmware?

Hey all, I bought the Freebuds Pro 5 and they were absolutely amazing. Great ANC, great sound quality, really comfortable and super reliable and never cutting out or dropping audio.

But... Then I updated the firmware.

Since I updated the firmware via the AI life app they have been effectively ruined.

I can't make it through a song on Spotify or a few minutes on a podcast without the audio cutting out sometimes for a few seconds. Sometimes for minutes. Then it may sporadically come back in one ear or both before cutting out again.

The audio apps still think it's connected and don't pause. Similar issues when connecting them to my laptop too.

I've done a reset on them but that doesn't flash the firmware, I've forgotten the earbuds on my phone and laptop and readded them and nothing has helped.

This all started when I updated the firmware, so any help is appreciated.

Huawei Freebuds Pro 5 - is there a way to downgrade firmware?

Hey all, I have the Freebuds Pro 5 and they have been amazing. The comfiest earbuds I've ever owned. Great ANC, great audio quality. Honestly a massive surprise in quality and until very very recently absolutely solid performance and reliability.

The other day I updated the firmware and ever since they cut out constantly, if I am in a busy area or the office it happens even more, but also just at home cooking.

The phone still thinks they're connected and doesn't pause the audio or video like they've been disconnected and then after anything from a few seconds or a minute or so they'll start making sound again.

This all happened after the firmware update and nothing like this happened before.

I've done the standard factory reset, but that doesn't flash firmware, I've forgotten them on my devices and readded them.

Nothing has helped

Legacy Stick / Pad support

Something this game is missing which will really stop a lot of people playing is the lack of support of older sticks and gamepads.

People keep sticks across multiple generations, this is the stick I've used on PS4 and PS5 fighting games but Avatar doesn't recognise it.

From what I've played of the beta on pad, for me this would definitely be a stick game. I prefer GG and many anime fighters on pad and MvC and SF on stic. The speed of which you need to flow cancel air combos means for me this would have to be a stick game.

I don't suppose there's any word on them sorting this as a lot of the hardcore fighting game people I know are still using PS4 stuff for PS5 unless they've been forced to change.
