Creating a game from another that inspired me

Is it bad juju to create a game based off of another game that inspired me? I saw the game “Necromolds” and it gave me a great idea for a game. It uses a similar concept where you make the game pieces from a playdough mold but that is mostly where the similarities end.

My game focuses on golems and army building. Enemy destruction is handled completely different as well as there are skill cards that change the way the game is played constantly.

Think this is acceptable before moving on? I’ve already designed the “hero” cards and working on the molds now (which will simply be 3d printed).

My take on a Crème brûlée soft serve.

This came out SO good! I topped it with crushed caramel candy pieces, chopped nuts and a drizzle of caramel sauce. Could have used another re-spin to it would be less “jagged” but it was really good nevertheless. Definitely a keeper!

Looking at better transition lenses - considering Lensology, but which one?

The transition lenses that come with the RayBans are just.. meh, So I am looking at upgrading them. I've heard a lot of people mentioning the XTRActive lenses from Lensology. I am having a hard time deciding which I would want.

Either the Transitions XTRActive non-polarized in Mirror Blue, or the Transitions XTRActive *polarized* in Grey. I like the blue but I also like the extra polarization. Only about a $20 difference, Help me decide!

Using gifted tickets but our name isn't on them!

My wife's friend has a niece that gave us a pair of complimentary tickets. I have them transferred to my app but they still have her name on them. She has been in the hospital and unable to call and have our names put on them. Does this matter? I called Disney and they told me since they are comp tickets, they will ask for ID and they won't let us use them unless they are in our name, but I have also heard it doesn't matter.

Just looking to clear this up as we are due to attend the park next weekend and I need to know if I need to buy new tickets or not.

TIA!

Game keeps crashing at specific spot on the map..

I am on PC, and the game crashes when I walk through this very exact spot in the game. I have tried restarting, updating graphics drivers, changing graphics settings but nothing fixes it. I don't think this is a graphics issue because up until now the game has ran fine.

So weird, but it is driving me nuts.

What do you do when listening to audiobooks?

I love audio books and listen to them on my commute to/from work. My old job I had about a 45-60min commute each way, so I was able to power through my books much quicker.

With my new job, it is only 20-30 mins commute each way. I feel I don’t get a lot of “reading” time anymore.

I am currently listening to Dungeon Crawler Carl (book 1), and I am in love with it so far, but sad I don’t have as much time to listen. I’ve found myself leaving for work early so I can sit in the parking lot and listen a little longer.

I think it’s weird to just sit at home and stare off into space while listening. It’s not like I am doing mindless chores every day that I can listen while doing them - maybe just laundry and some yard work on a Sunday. So what do you all do while listening? I am having withdrawals but can’t find the right “time” to listen other than driving. Am I the only one that feels this way? 🤣
