Built an Android app to fight social media addiction, oversleeping & lack of focus — looking for honest feedback from builder
Built an Android app called Alarmind focused on fixing a full daily productivity cycle:
- Sleep properly
- Wake up properly
- Stay focused
- Plan the day
Instead of being just another alarm app or app blocker, the idea is to guide users through the entire routine.
How it works:
😴 Sleep Mode
At bedtime, Alarmind automatically blocks social media and distracting apps to help users sleep on time instead of endless scrolling.
⏰ Wake-Up Missions
In the morning, users must complete activities like walking, QR scan, math problems, or photo proof before the alarm stops — forcing the brain and body to fully wake up.
🎯 Focus Protection
After waking up, social media stays blocked so users avoid immediately falling into distraction loops and can focus on meaningful work first.
📋 Daily Planning
Then the app moves users into a simple planning flow where they organize the important tasks they want to accomplish that day.
The biggest challenge has been balancing strong enough friction to change behavior without making the app frustrating to use.
Would genuinely love feedback from the community:
- What productivity apps failed for you?
- Would this workflow actually help you?
- Any suggestions for improving the focus/sleep system?
