MRNA after the 177% move — what happens next?

MRNA after the 177% move — what happens next?

$MRNA had a massive session after Moderna and Merck reported positive Phase 3 results for their personalized mRNA cancer treatment.

The stock closed at $174.38, up 177%, on roughly 187M shares of volume compared with a 50-day average of only about 7M.

What caught my attention is that the move continued after hours, reaching $194.88 before pulling back.

Obviously, after a move this large the stock is extremely extended, so I'm more interested in how it handles the important levels from here rather than trying to chase it.

I put together a short Stock Spotlight covering the catalyst, why the Phase 3 results matter, and the levels I'm watching next:

MU — Key Levels I’m Watching After Tuesday’s Selloff

MU dropped 7% Tuesday after a strong five-day run.

Short-term momentum looks weak. I’m watching $932.64 as a key level. Below that, $921–$917 is an important support area, followed by $908–$910 if selling continues.

Not trying to call the bottom. Just watching how price reacts around these areas.

Anyone else watching MU?

CSCO Follow-Up: 50-Day SMA Failed — Watching the 100-Day SMA

Quick follow-up to my CSCO post from yesterday.

CSCO closed at $113.47 after failing to hold the daily 50-SMA following earnings. A bounce could bring the 50-SMA back into play as resistance. If weakness continues, I'm watching the 100-day SMA around $106.37 as the next key support area.

Interesting reaction considering the strong earnings/guidance and generally positive analyst commentary.

I updated yesterday's write up with the latest price action and levels:

SPCX follow-up — nearly 37% from the Aug. 6 support area

Wanted to follow up on $SPCX after the first major lockup tranche on Aug. 6.

Buyers stepped in around $109.20 that day, and the stock has continued to show strength since. It hit $149.60 today, a roughly 37% move, and has reclaimed the $135 IPO price along the way.

Pretty impressive follow through, especially considering the concerns going into the lockup.

I updated my SPCX Spotlight with the latest move and what I'm watching heading toward the next tranche:

Anyone still swinging SPCX here, or waiting for a pullback?

CSCO after earnings — watching the daily 50 SMA

$CSCO had a pretty interesting reaction to earnings. Strong numbers, continued AI growth, stock initially popped... then gave it all back and reversed.

I'm watching the daily 50 SMA, currently around $118.01. If buyers defend that area, I think the larger bullish trend is still worth watching. If it loses it, I'd rather wait and see where buyers actually step back in instead of assuming the pullback is done.

I put together a more detailed CSCO spotlight with the earnings numbers and what I'm watching:

Anyone else watching CSCO for a potential swing around that $118 area, or are you waiting for a different confirmation?

SPCX Holds Key Support After First Major Lockup Expiration

Today's first major lockup expiration was one of the biggest tests since SPCX went public.

Despite approximately 911 million shares becoming eligible to trade, buyers stepped in around $109.20 and SPCX finished the session up $6.65.

Key levels I'm watching:

  • 🟢 Support: $109.20
  • 🔴 Resistance: $119.08

One day doesn't confirm a trend reversal, but today's price action was an encouraging first step.

I put together a more detailed breakdown covering today's lockup, technical levels, and what I'm watching next:

Did today's close make you more optimistic about SPCX, or are you still taking a wait and see approach?

SPCX Post-Earnings Update: Strong Results, But the Market Is Still Focused on the Lockup

SpaceX delivered a solid quarter, beating expectations on both EPS and revenue.

Highlights:

  • EPS: -$0.09 vs -$0.23 expected
  • Revenue: $7.81B vs $6.83B expected
  • Revenue up 92% YoY
  • $100B in cash
  • $47.5B backlog

Despite the strong report, the market quickly shifted its attention to higher AI spending and tomorrow's August 6 lockup. After today's trading, it feels like investors are still trying to decide whether the earnings beat outweighs the near-term supply risk.

I updated my SPCX Stock Spotlight after today's price action with a post-earnings breakdown, including:

  • Why the stock sold off despite the beat
  • AI spending concerns
  • Today's market reaction
  • What I'm watching into the lockup

I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks.

Do you think the lockup is mostly priced in, or could tomorrow bring another wave of selling pressure?

SPCX Earnings Today: A Balanced Look at the Key Catalysts

With SPCX reporting earnings after the close today, I put together a balanced overview of the biggest catalysts I'm watching.

The article covers the earnings report, the August 6 lockup, the bull and bear case, Elon Musk's role, and the stock's decline from its all time high. My goal wasn't to make a bullish or bearish argument, but to lay out both sides and focus on what could move the stock over the coming days.

If anyone is interested, here's the article:

https://daggertrading.com/spcx-stock-spotlight-august-2026.html

I'm curious what everyone here thinks. Which do you believe will have the bigger impact on SPCX this week...the earnings report or the August 6 lockup?

2018 Jeep Wrangler 2d sport - less than 65k miles.

Hello,

I’m looking to sell a car that cranks but doesn’t start, possibly due to an engine issue. I’m trying to avoid diagnostic costs, as it’s my father’s vehicle and he can no longer drive it. What are some reliable sites or services to sell it as-is?
