KiK Me!

KiK Me!

Bought me a #44DELTA kik holder, when really I wanted an LFIC or SFIC holder but I didn't pay attention to anything that day. Eric from 44 Delta bailed me out. Because I jacked up the order. But anyway is this how the Kik supposed to sit or is this for a Larger KiK?

Mc.Tensioners

Does anyone use these? Tok or Bok?

They only work in one direction, and feel odd using them. Am I missing something, or are these for leftys?

Maybe my hand is to big. The other 3 in the set are great. They grip very well.

Trench traps... How? Why?

Ok so i been dipping into challenge locks they are fascinating, I like the ideas on the pins that people make, on the concepts they're doing for their locks. So during gutting of some i've seen these scrapes on the core and I chalked it up as somebody just trying to experiment. So I started watching some other pickers videos and I herd "Trench Traps" and he reset his lock and started over. Now I've gotten them open and don't remember them doing that. maybe I got lucky. So working on my second challenge i wanted to do more to the core. So someone gave me a link to who I now call one of the masters at challenge locks Elroyztoyz. I started to check out his work on the LPUs challenge locks. The Trench Traps he does are diabolical. But I haven't seen anyone having a video on the How? and Why? of it. I took a round needle file and I made one lightly and I fell in twice already but there is drag when I turn the core now mostly in the CCW way of turning is that normal. Because it was smooth before I did that. Am I doing it wrong? And in my minds eye I picture on the deep ones the key pin falling in it and turn sideways in the cylinder.

Thanks for taking the time to read and answer.

Was bored of my locks and remembered i have CLs. Just because i did them already, doesn't mean i can't go through them again. This time hand picking or using different hooks. Just For the fun of it.

3 down 2 to go!

The first 3 have 3,4,5 spools & serrated pins, the 4th has custom key pins and drivers pins. I don't know what's in the corbin russwin. I opened it once and thought i had it. I haven't opened it again, and I don't have a key.

Vintage American 200, reassembly help.

I had success with other american series padlocks, but the little differences in this one from the others has me stuck.

Here are some of the issues,

When connecting the bolt, spring, washer the spring either goes with the pin in the hole in the bolt, or in the notches made for the balls.

Everything say to put the pin in the hole, but when its done this way it struggles to go in the washer and spring rub the housing going in. Now I've gotten them in with struggles, it locks but key won't open.

Putting it together with the pin outside of the hole in bolt. Everything sits in harmony. The bolt assembley falls into the housing perfectly but when I put the core in, the core don't fit, but with some struggles I can get it to sit. But fails to lock.

Pic #3 is bolt assembly notice pin in bottom of spring, and fold in washer those 2 things are different then other models #4 you can see the balls at bottom the white is grease to hold them in place#5 is how it sat before I removed it, and #6 is some info for the 100 series given to me. Also info not in Master/American online manuals do to age of lock.

Thanks in advance for any help, tips, links, or just well wishes.

Sparrows new 3 keyways cores vs Sparrows Revolver core

@Kitchen-Cookie-2792 I wanted to add this to your post. I'm glad you posted it because even though I bought the new cores with 3 different keyways to try and fix my revolver. Now it just skips over chambers or drivers stick up from under and jam it. But since I have the cores i was going to get the Sidewinder or the other progressive 2,3,4,5, ones since the revolver is just a paper weight.

My warm up locks

Usually I warm up to a few Schlage cylinders, then go at something I've been working on. Then sometimes I just gut open some of these and scramble them around move the spools, mushrooms, and serrated drivers around. "It keeps my powder dry".

Master #15 aka big old lock.

Ok first off it's not in lpu rankings, the closest looking is the #19 which is a purple belt. So here's my question yesterday I got tired of beating myself up with green and blue locks so I fell back to some easy opens. This 15 is new to me but I figured ahh its a master lock. Well I didn't get the open and it flipped me out even tried to rake it. Nothing. Is it that im getting more used to better locks, or is this a difficult lock to open. I asked on discord and really only got one answer its a white lock same as #3. But I have a 3 and it opens easily. Any thoughts?
