Can false life "recharge" armor of Agathys?

Armor of agathys gives you temporary hit points, and while you have those temporary hit points, you deal cold damage to enemies who hit you...

False life gives you temporary hit points... But for the purpose of AoA, do they count as "those" hit points?

Is there a point at which someone parked on "my curb" matters? If so, what is the right thing to do?

Two weeks ago, a fairly new BMW showed up on the curb in front of my house. Ok... I mean, I don't own the street.

Thing is it hasn't moved at all since then, and it's rear end bumper is so badly mangled that it is inside the trunk.

I'm not in a great part of town. A lot of folks have cars with dents and missing bumpers. But we've never seen this one before, and the neighbors don't seem to know whose car it is either.

At this point the street sweepers have gone around it twice, and I'm kind of wishing it wasn't right there.

HVAC return too small. Can I...

There's a grate in the ceiling that holds a filter half it's size. It goes up to a hole in the roof half the size of the roof-mounted AC unit. The service people come when it's just my wife at home, so All I know is "they keep saying the return line is too small..."

Theoretically. It seems like I can just make a bigger square tube out of some drywall, framing and mud.

Practically... It seems I'll need to measure and cut some boards. Some drywall, and at least adjust a few roof tiles... And while I don't exactly have the money to just pay a guy, I also don't exactly have the money to fuck up and find out later.

If I wanted to do it myself right, how much more do I need to know, and plan for? Probably more than I think...

How long can you safely keep a crock pot running?

A lot of traditional European stews, like "perpetual stew" relied on very long cook times to develop flavors... And crock pots are designed for long, slow heat, so...

At some point is this minimal draw an electrical issue?

Will I get some crazy hot springs bacteria?

Do the foods eventually disintegrate?

I want some smart answers before fall soup season kicks off.

I assume cooking overnight or all my work day is fine.

What about two or more days? A week? Weeks?

So... Any new mask of the red death lore?

I noticed way back around 2000 that several lore bits from Mask of the Red Death got shout outs in D20 modern...

Anything new since then?

I'm assuming mask of the Jade Dragon remains dead in the water as well...

Soften dried chili skins

I've recently gotten into using dried chilis de arbol, and guajillo chilies.

Most recipes call for me to cut off the stem, cut lengthwise, de-seed, boil for 10 minutes, and then put in a blender.

This tends to leave me with hard chili skin flakes of about 1/16 inch. Edible, and flavorful, But not pleasant to pass later.

What might improve them most? Longer cook time? More blender? Add some kind of edible solvent?

Is there a CR table for a steel defender by itself?

I assume that it would only have a fraction of the CR of it's artificer, based on their level.

I dunno... I thought finding a bunch of them just hanging out might freak out the players...

Any advice specifically for a home with a back alley?

New home has a back alley. I was always told alleys were big crime concerns. It looks like we occasionally get some graffiti, illegal dumping, and vandalism in the alley, but so far nothing to my property. I'd like to keep it that way.

A lot of security advice assumes I don't have a back alley, but I haven't found a lot of tips on ways to reduce risk from the back alley.

Should I just not worry? No crime yet... Or is there some practical advice I just haven't found?

Found in the wild

It was in one of those parking lots with a low central gutter.

I know you're probably looking for a smaller size, but maybe more of the set is still there

Should I do anything about these surprise pills I found in a coin purse?

Several months ago, I went to a normal convenience store. By the cashier's there were coin purses with pictures on them. I bought one with Frieda Kahlo on it (pic 1), and gave it to my wife.

Just recently, she decided to use it, and found two loose pills and a yellow piece of plastic coated paper. (Pic 2, 3, Ziploc bag added later), and she had some very reasonable questions.

Questions include:

1: is this supposed to be plan B? (Could be a forgery.)

2: did I accidentally buy stuff intended for smuggling elsewhere?

3: should I talk to the store, or anyone?

Cant you use "Convect" as a verb?

Heat is moved in three ways using the following nouns: conduction, convection, and radiation. With conduction and radiation, these are "noun-ified verbs" Materials that are good at conduction conduct heat. Items that give off radiation radiate.

But some how, when I say that something can "convect" autocorrect says I'm wrong to do that.
