there’s no doubt that kandi is an icon, and not just in housewives, but in pop culture all together. so many iconic and funny one liners, engaging storylines, and she’s a grammy award winning artist. however the way she treats people makes me so mad

kandi was very passive towards the situation with her mom and todd, not setting boundaries. she also wasn’t great towards her best friend for a little while too. then of course we have her fall out with phaedra. at the end of the day phaedra took it wayyy too far, but the end of their friendship is ultimately kandi’s fault. she sided with apollo because her man was still cool with him. just bird behavior. and phaedra told kandi how she felt multiple times but didn’t care, then was suprised when phaedra confided in other people. not to mention kandi is a diddy defender so it makes that whole situation even more stupid

i’m a first time watcher and im on season 15 right now. the storyline where the OLG restaurant got shot at, and marlo brought up to kandi that her nephew used to work there and he eventually got killed by his roommate, who i believe also used to work for kandi. and kandi was wayyy too chill about her old employee getting killed, and she barely had any sympathy for marlo.

i know kandi has deep rooted issues stemming from her childhood. her brother got killed when she was 15 and it definitely took a toll on her. mama joyce was also very overbearing which led kandi not to know what boundaries are. she also didn’t grow up with her father in her life. and she was in the entertainment industry at a young age. her first finance AJ also died in 2009. so all of this explains a good amount of her personality and thought process. i wish kandi did the inner work to be better towards other people, and stopped allowing for people like her ex husband, mother, and her little clique get all in her brain

i’m watching RHOA for the first time and i’m on s15 ep 9 and sheree meets up with lisa, deshawn, and kim! it’s really good seeing them. lisa and kim look veryyy different from their time on the show. deshawn looks GOODT! i wish nene was there then it could’ve tied everything together but she wasn’t fooling with the real housewives franchise at this point. seeing them really made me really how much the show changed and evolved over time

i know this topic has been beaten to the ground on this subreddit but i truly think they would’ve been a great couple. this of course will change other storylines, specifically ellie’s. here’s how i would’ve done it

after the iconic “so when you’re in doubt you kiss craig” moment, the season continues on mostly the same, except for at the end craig and ashley break up before she went to london, since ash decided that being in a long distance relationship with her bipolar boyfriend would’ve been too difficult for her. craig can still spiral but have marco be the one to help him through it. start season 5 with the two of them hanging out over the summer (instead of ellie, and she’ll have an arc exploring her tumultuous relationships with men and how it’s rooted in her trauma) and them being close. the school year starts and paige or someone points out how close the two gotten, more than usual. and have jimmy be like “nah they’ve always been like that”. maybe we get to the point where manny got her nudes leaked. and instead of craig getting back with manny, just have him be there for her as a friend, and someone he cares about. even apologizing to her for how he treated her in season 3. then they’ll have a light conversion about relationships and he’ll bring up how he won’t try relationships and would rather just hang with marco. then manny would give him a “😏🏳️‍🌈” look and ofc he’ll deny it, just saying how good friends they are (adrien from miraculous ladybug tease). and as the conversation continues on he’ll get that “oh sh*t” moment and realizes that he may like marco, but won’t admit it to him since not only did both him and marco got out of toxic relationships, but also his whole bi awakening thing.

tim wouldn’t be a character so don’t even worry about that. over the course of those 10 episodes (since craig leaves after) craig will try to build up the courage to ask marco out but of course keeps chickening out, of course going to jimmy and paige for advice. marco would have a moment where he could say “i wish dylan treated me how craig treats me”. and then try to push the feeling away too, since he believes craig is straight.

of course there’s some light angst and some miscommunication. and also good moments where marco calls craig out on his bs, and craig immediately listens and tries to do better, and also have more moments where marco is feeling insecure for whatever reason and goes to craig, since he understands marco the most, and then theres tender moments between the two. eventually the episode where craig leaves and he almost doesn’t tell marco his feelings, but decides to have courage and spills everything to marco. of course he doesn’t believe him at first but then craig proves himself by pulling in marco for a kiss. then tries to ask marco to be his boyfriend but of course get cut off my marco and he’s like “yes!!! i would love to be your boyfriend craig manning”

i know it’s a bit cheesy and there definitely could be some better writing but i think this is still better than what happens in the canon. it could mirror paige and her journey to discover her bisexuality and relationship with alex. also, it leaves ellie room to grow and to understand herself, and maybe get together with jimmy by the end of the season, since it would be a full circle moment for them. what are your thoughts?

specifically danny. i mean he was in the show starting in season 4. him, derek, darcy, peter, and mia could’ve had way more interesting storylines in seasons 6/7 had they not decided to focus on the graduates, maybe give them recurring roles or small cameos. i would’ve loved to see how danny dealt with the aftermath of JT dying, since he and derek were the ones who told everyone about the party. i think it would’ve gave good family drama between him and liberty, and the guilt he felt for unintentially bringing his friend and the father of his nephew’s to his death. it was definitely a missed opportunity

i actually really like this mashup of ladies together. though i didn’t like season 14 as much as the seasons prior i think these ladies are genuinely fun and i like their dynamic. i’m watching the first episode rn of season 15 so my thoughts can and will definitely change

i find it interesting. nene divorced (then remarried greg), the first season women lisa and deshawn divorced their husbands. sheree divorced her ex prior to her time on rhoa, kim divorced her man. at some point we got kandi, cynthia, phaedra, and kenya, and porsha all divorcing their husbands. now we have drew and the drama with ralph. i believe eva also divorced and remarried her husband too (don’t be afraid to correct me if im wrong!)

i don’t know much about the women from season 15 and onwards since im just finishing season 14. it’s crazy that all of these women went through a divorce. stress from the show definitely was a factor in all of these women’s divorces no doubt… and also cheating lol

canonically the sara we follow for a good chunk of season 6 and all of 7 is a clone. she has all of the memories of our sarah, all of her thoughts, feelings and desires. so she might as well be our sara. the legends even treat her as the first sara. but the “real” sara is dead

so many good and mature storylines! the main character was the result of teen pregnancy, there was a character with a coming out arc, characters with learning disabilities, shitty characters becoming better people, panic attacks, all of it! the main 3 were also ethnically diverse too. the show did a great job of having complexity and nuance for a disney show. my one complaint tho is that i wish the show followed the kids to high school, there would’ve been so many storylines to explore. i was the same age as the main characters when the show first premiered so i have some bias towards it but overall i think it’s a great show

i’m a first time watcher and i’m on season 14. they finally made marlo a housewive, and introduced sanya. but why is cynthia and porsha not here? did cynthia realize that she more wanted her privacy with her second marriage? and i liked how mature porsha was in seasons 12 and 13. maybe she didn’t want to deal with kenya and marlo’s bullshit for another year lol

i’m watching RHOA for the first time and i just finished season 13 and chileee drew and latoya’s beef was very unserious but oh so fun to watch

i really wished zari and charlie ended up together. to me it didn’t make sense for zari to end up with nate. i would watch season 4 multiple times to see if it would change my mind, but nope, i don’t like the coupling. i think even after the timeline shift it would’ve been interesting to see charlie and zari flirt with each other not knowing that they had a thing in the original timeline. would it have killed the writers to have 2 queer couples in the show? maybe in another timeline

there is a conversation amongst people who watched the disney channel on when it fell off or became bad. i was born in 2003 so my memories with watching disney started around 2010 and i stopped keeping up with the channel in 2018, though i did occasionally would tune in to watch until 2020. i want this discussion to be as objective as possible, and not want people to rely on their nostalgia for this debate

most people will say that the bounce era (2002-2007) and the ribbon era (2007-2010) were the best eras of the network, and for good reason. the late 2000s disney channel peaked in viewership, so there is some merit there. the rounded square era (2010-2014) has also gotten a lot of love within the last couple of years, which is great to see because that’s the era i mostly grew up watching.

i know that once the 2010s came around the network started to decline in viewership, because preteens started to go towards abc family/the cw or the internet for entertainment so disney skewed their demographic to be slightly younger, which many considered to be when the channel fell off. i think for me the shift was around 2014, which is when the glass era started. the network still had shows that came from the rounded square era, but also had new shows like girl meets world and i didn’t do it. as the years went on the network would pump out shows that weren’t all too great with a few exceptions, proof being that most shows wouldn’t go past 3 seasons, some even getting cancelled after only having 2. it’s a standard for disney channel to have 3 seasons of a show and if the show is very popular, it’ll usually have a 4th season, or at least a spinoff.

so to top it all off. the downfall of disney channel started around 2014 and the network slowly but surely got worse and worse, regardless of the few gems it would pump out, like andi mack, raven’s home and KC undercover. kids starting to move towards netflix and youtube around that time didn’t help things out either. i don’t think disney channel had a “best” era. since i think each era of disney from the last 90s all the way to the early 2010s had its strengths and weaknesses. that is where nostalgia comes into play. what are your thoughts?

i’m on season 13 and they’re planning the surprise bachelorette party for cynthia. apparently in the preview someone had sex with the stripper that they got? ouuu that’s messy

there should’ve been a second season with the revenge of the island cast before all stars. it did not make any sense to have 3 seasons with the gen 1 cast, then a brand new one, then immediately jump into an all stars season. i think it’s one of the reasons why all stars was so bad
