For some reason, the option doesn't appear in the "Wallpaper & Styles" tab. There's another way I can set it?

In case you don't know, it is an application that, with Shizuku, modifies the resolution and format of the screen. It happens that I did an installation of LineageOS without Gapps or microG (Take advantage of more performance from my potato with 2GB of RAM), but when trying to set resolution, the application asks me to have Google services to even start. Worst? It is to show ads.

If someone has already tried it, does Pixels with microG work, or will I need native Google services?

I'm a novice, and this is my first time doing a procedure like this, so I'm asking because I wouldn't want to break or mess something up.

I received this tablet with Android 11 (One UI 3.1), and it was UNBEARABLY SLOW: I came from using reasonably well a Samsung Galaxy A21s with an Exynos 850, 4GB of RAM and a very worn-out 64GB eMMC storage, so I know what I'm talking about. The first thing I did was a debloat: with Shizuku and Canta, I removed all Samsung services and several Google services (leaving only YouTube, Gmail and Play Store); I replaced the browser with Via, which I already used before; and I moved all my social networks to the same one (Discord, Reddit, Instagram which I hardly use and DeviantArt) into the browser, which saved many background processes. Now, RAM usage at idle ranges between 920MB and 1.1GB, which, although very limited, for the uses I give it (watching YouTube videos, viewing documents, chatting herein Reddit and playing light games like Geometry Dash and Terraria, with generally not multitasking between these) has been responsive enough not to be annoying, always taking into account the limitations of raw power.

Even so, I'd like to install a custom ROM: it might improve performance, and if there's no significant difference, at least I'll have gained some experience: I chose LineageOS 18.1 (Android 11), although now I consider 19.1. Looking on the official LineageOS website, I saw that there was a build based on 22.1 (Android 15) for my model, but even with any optimization, I doubt it will be smooth enough (And anyway I don't like its UI tbh). But this is where my first doubts arose:

- The author cites a repository of custom builds (https://sourceforge.net/projects/andyyan-gsi/files/lineage-18.x/), It indicates that I should look for the specific image for my device model. But using Treble Info to get that information, I got that my device supports system-arm64-ab.img.xz GSIs, doesn't support VNDK Lite and neither A/B. I couldn't find any image that matched the recommended one, not even in the link that Treble Info redirected to.

- The author mentions that, in order to flash the TWRP he cites, the firmware version needs to be T290XXU3CUG4: my tablet got T290XXS5CWG3. Someone says the firmware version can't be downgraded (which makes sense), but another one says the latest firmware version supports any bootloader. That confused me even more.

- This isn't so much about installation as it is about usage. I don't plan to install Gapps with Google Play services; I'll probably use microG to save some backgrounds processes. The only thing that really worries me is WhatsApp: from what I've researched, it still works without Google's native services, with the disadvantages of not being able to back up to Drive (but you can locally, so that's covered) and that notifications might stop arriving every so often. How serious will that be? Will I absolutely need root access to install microG?

I'd love some advice. Or maybe I'm overthinking it; the build with LOS 22.1 is well optimized, and I'm simply installing it using the procedures on the official website. c:

Question asked purely out of curiosity. I have seen several phone models (especially budget ones that boast high refresh rates, such as 120 or 144Hz) have only two options in the settings app: power saving at 60Hz and "adaptive" or similar (which makes the system choose to use 60 or the maximum screen refresh rate depending on the concept).

I wonder if there's any external way to force, for example, 90Hz in every scenario (Of course, without exceeding the maximum supported by the physical screen: you can't alter the hardware in that way). Would love to know c:
