Considering switching careers

I currently work in marketing for nonprofits but I'm finding that I want to switch gears a bit to make a more meaningful impact. I'm 7 years into my marketing career, mind you. I really don't want to climb the corporate ladder, and that's what I feel like I'd have to do if I stay in this career path. Plus, I need to get out of corporate America as much as possible.

Having said all of that, I'd much rather work for a nonprofit doing community outreach at some capacity. I would also love to do therapy. I feel like that would be so fulfilling.

So my question to you all is this: could I work at a nonprofit doing community outreach with an msw? And what kind of positions would that look like?

What is your metaphysical reason for choosing to live?

I would love to hear as many perspectives as possible as I explore metaphysical reasons to continue living.

I previously asked about how you all got through other side of suicidality, and now I have a different question:

For those who had an attempt or were suicidal but got to the other side of it, what is your metaphysical reason for choosing to live? (If you have one.)

I think I need to find my metaphysical reason. And im looking for different perspectives from my bipolar friends. ❤️

What made you decide you wanted to live?

For those of you who attempted to kill yourself or were so close to doing so, what was it that made you decide that wanted to live? what made you decide you didn't want to anymore? Besides the obvious answers of leaving behind others, recognizing the pain that it would cause others, etc. I know suicidality doesn't just go away, and I do know that it eventually doesn't seem as big anymore, but what is the thing that made you decide to want to live?

Sincere question. How do I get there? Any words of wisdom from those who have had suicidality, but you have worked through it and are now living a fulfilling life?
