P2S vs X2D, economics of 30% difference

P2S vs X2D (combos) is a common debate

But, the $100(~12%) difference is in US(or may be some other cuntries too), for whatever reasons the difference is about 30% in countries like India, Brazil, South Africa, Turkey

As an Indian buyer, I want to understand if the 30% price difference is justified for functional printing, or it make sense to jump directly to H2S which is just 33% higher than X2D (72% higher than P2S). H2S may appear cheap, but its because of X2Ds price being very high. P2S vs H2S maintains a narrow range of difference of about 70-85% everywhere including India.

I see most of the suggestions boils down to buying X2D over P2S for being just 100$ or 12 % costlier. Are these difference worth 30% premium for almost a similar product?

- Active heated chamber

- Auxiliary 2nd nozzle

- 3-stage Air filter

Does active heated chamber adds any value for ABS/CF printing, max 25 % of my prints are going to be ABS/Carbon fibre and rest 75% in PLA+/PETG, same ratio for multi/single color. Also I'm not sure how frequent supports would be required for functional printing. I estimate 10-15 prints a month.

Or, should i go for H2S as below features over P2S -

- Active heated chamber (like X2d)

- 3-stage Air filter (like X2D)

- Bigger build volume

TBH, i dont know how frequently i'll need bigger build volume or what kind of applications it has. But im least likely to buy any other 3d printer for nest 6-7 years

Software and ops skills for data scientists[D]

With more software engineers entering into data science and AI, I feel it's equally important for a person with data and AI background to dive into software development to survive, thrive in industry.

I Know it's a very broad question, so suggestions with broad subjects, topics are welcome , like I often wonder how DSA is relevant. I totally understand the needs of the skills are deeply coupled with domain, industry and specific problems but unfortunately the industry doesn't understand this, it judges you, rewards you based on what you already know or pretend rather than your ability to learn or adapt.

Used X1C Combo Vs New P1S Combo

Im considering to but either

- Used X1C with AMS for about 75k - decent condition

- New P1S combo - 70k

Im very new to 3d printing and trying to understand what things i should consider before making a decision, im also inclined towards p2s and x2d but they bit costly. My applications are functional/engineering prints for homelab, DIY electronics etc.- 5-10 prints/month

Also let me know whats the max i should offer for X1c if its a better option than p1s.

Work, pay and politics: suggestions for 15 YOE IT guy.. functional or technical

I'm a Principal data scientist with 15 yoe, about 70 lpa in a product company, briefly I worked on most data and ml related roles in different domains/companies from the start of my career. My current work includes research, foundational algorithms development and training on different modalities. I recently started catching up with agentic systems and agents. I have built two high end GPU rigs by myself to compliment my learning journey.

I feel I'm good at handling team, but I feel I'm better at solving problems. That's the reason i preferred a technical role over functional. I have not aggressively hunted for jobs and higher pays and rather tried to seek quality work. (may be that's the reason I'm in the wrong place). I hardly see any technofunctional roles.

With increasing experience, I feel I'm getting surrounded by toxic people who seem to be feeling insecure from me (especially folks who closely work with me including manager, a senior/junior colleagues) and always try to exploit me per their need while trying to take away the exposure.and credits in shameless way. The team has no or very minimal DS experience if I keep myself aside.

I don't want to write a lot here about the dirty politics I'm facing or what I'm going through for a couple of years.

In fact I've been trying to ignore this toxicity but recently started reacting a bit strongly on a few occasions... all these seems to be causing mental stress and may be deterring my skills and ability to work efficiently. I find it difficult to fall asleep on the day I have 2-3 meetings with those toxic people. Even I seem to be gaining weight out of stress despite a good diet and physical activity.

Being at purely technical/architect role, although senior, I feel less empowered. Like everywhere a couple of middle men tend to control everything with no relevant skills, yes no relevant skills ..just surviving by doing dirty politics, favoutism, manipulating people, lies..

Coming back to me(the OP), I'm open to suggestions..

- be it on the right pay..

- or on handling politics..

Why i shouldn't buy plot

I want to understand what makes more sense :

1)buy a NA+RERA plot (value say 25L through loan) around the upcoming ring road in Pune. This seems to be an opportunity(appreciation) and risk(IT layoffs, hype etc) both

Vs

  1. Starting an SIP of equivalent emi say moderately aggressive one like flexi caps

To keep it simple, let's keep an investment window of 10Y. The goal is to build wealth.

PS- I've an apartment of decent livable size in well connected locally.

I would appreciate suggestions with a respectful, open and constructive mindset than a response from a frustrated or judgmental mindset- I know you are a smart, intelligent and knowledgeable person.
