Box Setup Questions for 4” Filters

So by some weird turn of events, there’s a seller on Marketplace that gave me a bulk price on all the Simply brand filters he had for $150 flat. This includes:
5 20x20x4 MERV8
4 20x20x4 MERV11
6 20x25x4 MERV8
6 20x25x4 MERV13

Averages about $7.14 a filter. (A more dedicated man could figure out the ratios btwn 8, 11, and 13, but not I)

I was originally going to make a 2 filter setup with my 6 extra pc fans and call it a day, but I ended up checking marketplace for better prices and/or some more filters if I wanted to make one for my parents too.

Now with so many filters as a possibility, I have a few questions:
Is it worth the price? (I’m not sure if 1”vs 2” vs 4” is negligible or not for a pc fan setup)
Would it just be better to go with a 4 filter cube setup rather than a 2 filter sandwich (since I would have so many)?
How many fans would be recommended for a 2 or 4 setup to be effective for 4” filters?

Can you use any old PC fan?

I became interested in making a CR box for myself simply because there is too much ambient dust floating around in my room. However, I tend to try and save money where I can if possible.

I have these old pc fans that have got to be at least a decade old (barring the small CPU fan), some scrap wood, woodworking tools, and some old power bricks laying around. All I would need is some splitters, an adapter, and filters (probably no grills).

Noise is not a concern nor am I too bothered about maximum efficiency so long as it gets the job done. It doesn’t need a small footprint either as I’ll just plop it in the middle of my room when I want it running. It’s also mainly for dust, so I was debating simply going for MERV 8 or 10 filters as well.

Would these actually work? Or is it simply too much of an efficiency loss/headache and that I should go ahead and spend the money on proper fans and/or filters?

Help me figure out my poorly shaped room

I’m replacing my desk, so I thought no better time to change my room around.

My current setup (Photo 1) is probably honestly the best possible option. The bed has space on both sides, and everything is open and accessible.

The one major problem however is the left side of the room is higher than the right and the left side of my desk is a whole 1.5in higher than the right. My chair rolls away on occasion, my arms rest at different heights, and I also can’t help but wonder if it’s affecting my back needing to sit at a slight tilt all the time.

This means I would prefer to have my desk top to bottom like in photo 2 and 5. And while these may be the best options I could come up with, I’m not too big of a fan of either.

I would like the bed to not be in the corner, for my back (when at my desk) not to be towards the door, and I’d like for my computer to not be against the wall to make it easier to manage cables and monitor arms and the like. Although it seems like along with the desk rotation, I can only get one (or none) of these other wants.

Any advice or help is appreciated!

Bosch 1617 vs Dewalt DW618B3 + Accessories

I’m stuck between for $175 for the Bosch and $250 for the Dewalt + mlcs 15 piece bit set + parallel fence.

I think I generally lean towards the Bosch for the router itself, but I’m not sure if the accessories make the Dewalt a better option to pick up.

Expiration Date Tracking (With Toast Retail Integration?)

Are there any IMS softwares that can help track inventory expiration dates? Are there any that have Toast Retail integrations?

For more details, we are a small family business grocery store have started to upscale our inventory within our warehouse. We need something that can store stock locations in the warehouse and also track and remind us when cases of inventory are about to expire so we can push sales and promotions beforehand.
We recently swapped to Toast Retail middle to end of last year, and while it can store item locations, I haven’t been able to find any way to track expiration dates in Toast itself or any recommended integrations like MarketMan, xtraCHEF, or CrunchTime.

I am hoping to find any that are Toast integrated to make it easier to handle the inventory across two programs (without needing to have our employees do double the work when logging new inventory), but if it needs to be something completely 3rd party, I am open to trying it if it meets our needs.

Cannot Expand Unallocated Space in Secondary Drive

My secondary drive (Disk 0 aka D:) has 630MB of unallocated space that I cannot seem to merge with the main partition. There was a bit of space on the right of the main 450+GB partition that I could extend into, but the option to extend on the left one is grey'd out.

I know you can't extend left, so I moved all the files to another drive, deleted the volume of the main partition, and partitioned the left side space into a new simple volume. But even with the only volume being the left 630MB and the right 465.13GB being unallocated, the option to extend volume was still grey'd out.

Current state of the drive: https://imgur.com/a/kEzGXGe

I'm trying to avoid the headache of needing to use a 3rd party iso like GParted, but I can if need be (and if you have proper steps on how to use it, it would also be greatly appreciated).

I have this old EVGA Supernova 850 G2 that I used for my very first build maybe around 2015 until late 2021. I upgraded to a different PSU on my main pc, but packed and stored my old EVGA “just in case”. Would it still be safe to use?

If you want more details, I’m looking to do minor upgrades to an Intel Inspiron 3670 just so it has more HDMI ports for a 3 monitor setup for office work without needing to spend more than maybe $50. A standard HDMI dock usually requires a usb C connection that the PC doesn’t have, so my second idea was to use an old GPU that doesn’t need any external power connectors. I didn’t have much luck finding any on Marketplace without connectors, and I just happened to remember I have this PSU and a MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G from my old build. And while I know the GPU might be too long to fit, would the PSU be ok to use for office work and whatnot despite its age?
