Hello all,

I am having extreme difficulty trying to figure out how to pronounce words like hvítr. I mean the sounds /hʷ/, /gʷ/ and whatnot. I see it being described as a round /h/ or /g/, but for the life of me, I cannot understand how these sounds are supposed to be made. At best I just sound like Hank Hill.

Another pronunciation I would like to know if I am saying right is /ɣ/. It's said like "gah", right? So saga would be "SAH-gah"? And [β], too.

Can anyone help me out with these sounds? Thank you! :)

I am obsessed with Farever, even though it does have its flaws. I'm still playing it of course, so it's not that I am looking to replace it, I just want to expand more into that kind of game. It is online but not MMO (entirely). I can play alone or join others if I want. I can even see them on the world map and talk with them. It has crafting and gathering (though it is rudimentary in design) and world activities and even dungeons and a world raid. All of this + character creation.

I know I can find completely single-player or offline/co-op games like it, such as Enshrouded, but I am looking for games that are online in the same kind of sense as Farever (and old Wayfinder) because none of my friends are interested in these kinds of games, so... yeah. Does anyone know of more games like this? It does not have to be MMOs, just have online play of sorts.

Thanks!!! :)

(I've pretty much played all of the MMOs by the way, at least all of the big ones)

hiya!

so im looking for comforter sets with this pattern. a huge bonus if its in a similar color. i do NOT want a duvet cover, but an actual set of blankets, sheets and pillow cases with this specific pattern. any i do find are on amazon, and they are duvet covers and do not include fitted sheets.

Heyo!

I'm looking for games where you can farm gear like armor and weapons (maybe others too), in a similar-ish fashion to Monster Hunter. It doesn't need to be killing monsters to do so, but I found I really love that kind of grind. I know MMOs have raids and dungeons to get gearsets, but I'm not looking for a MMO.

Anyone know anything like it, besides Monster Hunter? And isn't a MMO?

Thanks!!!!

So I was in an open discussion on Discord with a bunch of randoms. We were playing games, just random people, and we all started talking about TV shows we like. Someone mentioned FROM, and almost every one of us started talking about it. For like two hours. One of the people there had an interesting theory on some of the things in the show. I'll keep it simple:

• The curse / nightmare is real. The loop draws in people to feed the immortality of the curse, and find Jade/Tabitha's reincarnation to free the children.
• People who die by the monsters are locked inside alongside the children sacrificed
• Those people locked inside that die, are trapped in the tower (souls basically). Because of this, some of those people are able to reach out and communicate with residents of Fromsville. Example: Abby speaking to Boyd through Sara. Father Khatri speaking to Boyd, offering strangely useful insight. Tom (the barkeep) speaking with Jade. Jim speaking with Ethan at the RV*. The Boy in White speaking to Victor, Ethan, Sara, Tabitha (he's not a sacrifice like those in the cave).
• The nightmares and fears of those who died are merged into the town due to those people's souls still lingering around. Their fear and anguish feeds the curse just as much as the people does. That is why it is critical for the monsters and the town to take away as much of the people's hopes and strength as possible, and why they started pushing harder when Tabitha and Jade arrive--because they were going to start bringing back hope.
• Storywalking is real, and the past CAN be changed. The author of the book is a prior storywalker, who had failed. Julie learns the real way to visit chapters at will, and how to change them.
• The Lake of Tears will be "real". The bones of the children must be brought to the lake, which can only be accessed through the tower.
• Fatima will be cured.

*In the scene where Jim is at the RV and Ethan talks to him, you can see him looking around, as if he hears something or sees something. He is trying to reach Ethan before whatever it is, stops him. He knows about the Lake of Tears because he's now in the tower, with BiW and the others. That is why Man in Yellow tells Tabitha she should be happy it was him who killed Jim, because it sent him there.

Now I thought some of this was interesting, like the explanation on why the voices and visions are being seen/heard. What do you guys think? Been on my mind all day!

So... I'm injured. Got a lot of free time on my hands after studying. For the nights where the pain is too bad and I can't sleep, I'd like something to watch. It helps get my mind off the pain and the depression and anxiety. The issue is, I have seemingly run out of all the good shows made. So, I'm here to ask for suggestions.

Primarily, I would love new science fiction horror shows to watch like From, but I am open to anything pretty much, except for comedy or things about zombies. lol

Here's a quick list of the shows that I watched. I might forget some stuff, so don't be surprised if I respond "I've seen that". It isn't in any particular order.

Hello,

I was recently approved for disability compensation at a total of 60%, thank everything for that, but I was wondering how claim "upgrades" worked? I have migraines almost every single day--which they acknowledged--and it was stated that I was given 0% because I do not have them more than once a month. I even take topamax for my migraines. In service, records of me constantly taking asprin and more for migraines, some days where it was so bad I had to get sickcall to give me the day off. So how did they come to this decision?

Also, a friend recommended I just build evidence with my personal doctor for a year, and make a journal, and then file for an increase. Does that seem reasonable? If not, what can I do to prove this is occuring almost every day? At first I thought, "Don't rock the boat; you got approved" but these migraines are so bad I cannot function, let alone go out in the sunlight, it makes it so much worse.

Hello!

I just got the Gladitor NXT EVO, including one left omni throttle, but I have no idea how to put them together, let alone what the premium attachments do. lol I did try the guide they link to in Russian, but it only covered the regular stick, and it was outdated too. Does anyone have up to date guides, especially on the omni throttle one? And what these attachments do?

Thank you! :)

Hello! I am looking to ditch my headset and go for a smaller headset for audio and then a mic for better voice capture. I only talk in game and with my friends in Discord, if that matters. I also live in a fairly large basement. Lol

Any suggestions? Bonus if it can go into a boom arm mount for my desk.

Budget: $150 - 200 USD
