Painting the power sword for the Deathwatch Sergeant, does it need more blending?

Is the metal on the frame too bright? Should I switch it to darker metallic like Iron Warriors or Leadblecher?

Not too sure if I like the finished product, but it was fun painting it nonetheless.

I’m not entirely sure if I like the shoulder plate too much. I might consider repainting it matte red instead.

Here is my progress so far.

Ideas:

- Should I add Hazard Stripes to the Yellow tubing or keep it solid yellow?
- Should I highlight the armor with Stormhost Silver or leave it as it is?

Concepts:

- The Mechancius emblem will be solid white to signify allegiance to the Chapter.

I’ve been painting my Dark Angel Interrogator Chaplin, and I’m particularly happy with how the cape and hood have turned out.

However, I’m struggling to figure out how to paint the pattern at the edge of the hood. The detail on the hood isn’t engraved very well, making it difficult to paint.

Should I add white edge highlights to the hood or take the time to paint the pattern correctly?
