Gratitude Post After Years With LR3

I switched my two Litter-Robot 3s over to Neakasa M1 Lites earlier this year, and I honestly couldn’t be happier.

I had the LR3s for about 4–5 years, and while I had to implement a bunch of little workarounds to avoid issues, they were actually pretty reliable the whole time. My biggest gripe was always how much of a PITA they were to deep clean.

I deep-cleaned both of my M1s earlier today, and the difference is night and day. The LR3 globe wouldn’t even fit through my back door, which was the first headache. On top of that, the way the globe, liner, and litter-separating mechanism are designed creates a ton of little nooks and crannies that are really difficult to clean thoroughly.

With the Neakasa, I just hosed down the globe, gave it a quick scrub, and it was done in about five minutes. Same with the waste drawer. I wiped down the main unit thoroughly, and that was basically it.

I already preferred the M1 overall, but how much easier it is to clean might be one of my favorite things about it. Such a huge quality-of-life improvement.

X4 Pro Restock? Still August 6th?

The website was previously showing in the X4 Pro title - August 6th restock. That wording is no longer there. Do we know when these will restock? Ordering an X4 to use in the meantime, as I really want one of these.

How to Sew L Zipper?

Hey, does anyone have info or a good tutorial on how to sew an L zip pouch like this one? It seems like a basic zipper pouch but the zipper runs down the side as well. It’s not the same construction as a clamshell organizer. Thanks!

New-to-me ‘23 Model 3 base… loving it but fighting the M3P regret

I’m curious how other extreme minimalists find like-minded friends in real life.

Most people I meet are cool, but minimalism is usually more of a “declutter once in a while” thing, not a real lifestyle. I’m more drawn to simple living, one-bag/zero-bag travel, owning very little, quiet spaces, intentional routines, and spending money on health/travel/experiences instead of more stuff.

I’m not looking for people who match my exact rules or item count. More just people who understand the mindset and don’t think an empty room, small wardrobe, or traveling with almost nothing is weird.

Have any of you found minimalist friends in person? Did you meet them through Reddit, travel, local groups, hobbies, volunteering, or something else?

Also open to chatting with people here who are into the same kind of lifestyle.

Edit: 29M in Arizona
