1st post here as well! Salute to the others with over 20+ games in 2026 alone btw; y'all are nuts.

These are all the games I played this year as a rehabilitating ball and mostly gun gamer. I made a personal goal this year to play more recent games instead of going back to older games I liked. So, I wanted to create a weighted criteria with the games release date being "abnormally" high. These were all played on an Xbox Series X.

To give better context on the 0-10 (not 1-10 in the spreadsheet) scale for each criteria:

Personal Enjoyment: How much fun did I personally have?

0= I hated myself playing this game

10= I couldn't put the controller down

Completed Story/Engagement Level: Did I meaningfully complete the campaign? If the game didn't have any, did I find myself returning to the game?

0= barely touched

10= Meaningfully finished/ "one more match!"

Released within 2026?: Self explanatory.

0-9= oldest release date in the list all the way to 2025

10= the release date has the year 2026

Innovative/Outside My Comfort Zone?: Outside my comfort level is any genre that is outside a fast-paced first person shooter.

0= I'm on Call of Duty/Battlefield

10= wtf is this (in a good way)
