hindustantimes.comMan this is horrendous
The incident reportedly took place on Mahal Road during a police drive to clear roadside encroachments ahead of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's convoy. According to reports and the victim's statement, when police aggressively ordered her to remove her cart, she requested a brief moment to safely handle the boiling water in her momo steamer. However, personnel allegedly pushed and overturned the cart forcefully, causing the boiling water to spill completely over her body.

Dell G15 5510 stuck at Dell logo/BIOS-prep screen, heats up there before any OS loads, white status LED (no fault code)
- Issue
Progressive lag on Ubuntu 26.04, got worse over reboots. Same thing happened on Garuda (separate install, same machine). Now stuck at the Dell logo / "Preparing to enter BIOS Setup" screen — won't proceed. Laptop heats up noticeably *while sitting at that screen specifically*, before any OS has loaded and with no workload running. Status LED is solid white, no amber/white fault blink pattern.

- Specs
- Dell G15 5510, GTX 1650 (Optimus)
- Single-channel DDR4 (only DIMM B populated)
- Samsung PM991a NVMe
- Triple-boot: Windows/Ubuntu/Garuda, 2 separate ESPs

- Tried so far
- REISUB, forced shutdown + 30min cooldown — no change
- EC reset (battery disconnect + power hold) — no change
- Aggressive cooling (~16°C) — still hangs
- F2/F12 — sometimes reaches the BIOS-prep screen, hangs there too
- Full intrusion/malware check — clean
- Opened case, disconnected main battery 3 min, reconnected — caused 3 power cycles with no display, then back to the same stuck logo
- Not yet tried: full CMOS coin-cell disconnect + RAM reseat

- Help
- Anyone seen heat build up specifically at the logo/BIOS-prep screen (pre-OS) with a clean, non-error status LED?
- Worth doing a full CMOS reset + RAM reseat before assuming hardware failure?
- Can a dying NVMe cause a hang this early, before BIOS even finishes loading?
