Cuál es mi nivel de español aquí?

Streak 98 - Buen viaje de Uber

Hola.

Indeed: Is there a way to look for all jobs in any field on indeed? I mean reasonable ones. I try typing “all jobs” and most of the jobs are like $100, $200, $300 an hour. I don’t qualify for that obviously, why does it show that? I tried searching on internet signed out and makes me sign in

Above, thank you.

Cellular Sales First Month’s Pay

I‘m looking to start a job here but I wonder if the pay is only the $1,600 draw the first month or if there’s a ramp up. Florida

Thoughts on taking a substation apprenticeship if I want to be a lineman?

Hi,

My closest selcat is 1.5 hours away. They say I have better odds of getting into substation than lineman due to the wait.

Can this transfer to lineman apprenticeship? Also, is it worth it to commute 1.5 hours daily? I have a mortgage and can’t really move there right now. Thoughts?

Do lineman work in the HEAVY rain?

I know linemen work in the rain, but what about when it’s so heavy that you probably couldn’t see through your glasses? Also, do you wear glasses during the heavy rain? I hate when a drop of water hits my eye directly when it’s raining.

Does anyone else get a horrible, dreadful feeling when driving at night?

Sometimes I’m driving at night, all alone and I just think about the negative aspects of my life. I think about negative things to come too. I just wish that it would become bright outside immediately.

Does this happen to anyone else?

The time I went to a hair clinic in 2020

So back in 2020 I went to a hair clinic for an assessment.

The guy looked at my hair under a microscope or something and said “I can tell you what will keep your hair forever” and pitched PRP (platelet rich plasma).

Well, I didn’t do it and haven’t done treatment.

I don’t know how much my hair loss has progressed or if it has at all. My issue has always been a receding hairline but I don’t know if it’s gotten worse or not and I’m certainly not bald.

Do you think his suggestion, assuming he knew that PRP doesn’t really work (allegedly, based on what I’ve read here) means that he concluded that my hair loss was stable after checking it out?

Can oral min alone hold ground for life?

I’ve slowly lost some hair and am 29 now. I’m wondering if minoxidil can retain my hair for life if I take it and not fin?

Some girl on Tinder said I was balding but I don’t know if I actually appear as a balding guy or if she’s trolling? I’m 29. I think my hair has maintained or maybe slightly worsened (maybe but not sure) since 2021 but this is the first time a girl has mentioned it.

Has anyone put bilingual on a job application at level B1-B2?

So I applied for an apprenticeship that’s hard to get into. The application asked if I spoke Spanish. ChatGPT said I should put that I do, based on all our conversations. It was a yes/no question so there wasn’t anywhere to elaborate and ChatGPT said to check yes.

Honestly it doesn’t really matter if you speak Spanish at this job, and if I do get an interview and they ask I’m going to tell them I’m B1-B2 level, which is true. Even if they don’t like that answer, this job just takes a ton of applications and you have to try for years to get it usually anyway (from what I read), so it doesn’t really matter.. I think.

Does wearing gloves, assuming they’re in good shape, always prevent electrocution/shock?

I saw a comment saying that someone saw their coworker grab something with his glove and his thumb got blown off.

I‘m not sure if he meant with*out* his glove, or if the gloves just don’t protect against extremely high amperages. The comment said: I watched a journeyman grab a hot 12kV riser on a padmount with his glove because the loadbuster was, in his words, too deep in the truck. Arc tracked through the rubber, blew his thumb off and peppered his face shield with molten copper. 10mins for the ambulance, 18 months of surgeries, before he was back on light duty. A cheap shotgun stick and 30 seconds of patience would have kept him whole.

I hope this isn’t a dumb question, I’m just working towards getting an apprenticeship and am curious.

Sad that I’ll probably never be a lineman

I think this job could turn my life around but the utility is never hiring and I am broke so I can’t afford a CDL. Has anyone ever gotten hired when their utility only has one opening? My nearest one does have an opening for pre-apprentice and I live within the driving range necessary but I’m realizing I probably won’t even get an interview. Fml

Edit: Nvm, I’m going to get my CDL and will just keep trying until I succeed. Thanks for the help.

I know the wording is “…or the ability to get one”, but do they actually allow you to get one after being hired? I am broke so I can’t go get a CDL unless they’re going to hire me, in which case I’ll have to get my mom to help me with the cost, and I’ve wanted to be a lineman forever but they’re never hiring near me. Now they have a posting and I applied.

Also, I’ve had some speeding tickets and minor accidents within the past five years. The last accident was over 3 years ago. Last speeding ticket 10/2024.

This channel is an example of something I can’t understand.

I can understand 90% of those videos that explain things, like with the animations and stuff, but when I watch this channel I can’t understand almost anything.

I also can’t understand when natives speak. When they use a word I don’t know, I can’t really separate it from other words.

I’d say I’m B2 but I find it hard to believe I’ll ever be able to understand natives speaking normally. What do you all think?

I’ve been taking him on walks and for some reason he poops on walks with ease despite not always pooping if I just take him in the yard (I don’t have a fence so I’m out there with him.)

Then I let him run around the house supervised for a half hour if he pees and poops. If not then I put him in the cage for 15 minutes and start the process again.

So now it’s been 3 days with no accidents.
