Suggested path for teaching English in Japan as an MA student?

I’m aiming to study a masters degree at the University of Kyushu in a few years: they teach the only English-language history MA course in the country as far as I can tell, but I’ll need a while to learn Japanese reading to a high enough level for the course.

I think teaching English part-time would be the best way for me to make enough money while I’m there. I’ve been looking into part-time CELTA and TEFL courses, and seem to get the impression that I’ll be the most prepared for teaching with the former.

Do you think that’s the right choice? If so, where is the best place to achieve the qualification in London? I’m assuming I would teach at Eikaiwas, and if so, are there any in Fukuoka that I should look into? Also, if you have any recommendations for Japanese courses in London, and any other advice, anything is appreciated!

No longer getting any matches

When I (22M) made my account I was getting about one or two matches a day, and a few likes a week. It’s now been long enough since my last match that all of my chats are currently hidden. I get that my profile isn’t as high up in the feed as it used to be which would explain the lack of received likes, but I’ve been sending all 8 likes every day and not had any success for ages. I don’t think my profile hasn’t gotten any worse. Am I missing something? And is there something I can do without paying?

Best places to record music?

Hoping to record some music with my band, but don’t know which studios are ideal. Looking for something a bit more affordable.

UK local post-punk recommendations

I’m looking for very specific acts to put on from across the UK - I’m interested in goth or darker post-punk bands with younger members (under 30s), in order to give young artists a chance to potentially play in other cities across the country.

I ideally want bands with drummers, as I prefer the energy they bring to live performances.

Most paranoid Christie books?

My favourite Christie novel is And Then There Were None, mainly because I can’t get enough of the almost horror-like suspense. The feeling that anyone could die at any minute, and that no one can leave. I was wondering if Christie had any other books with a similar vibe?

So far I’ve read: Roger Ackroid, Five Little Pigs, ABC, Orient Express, Poirot’s Christmas, Death on the Nile, Lord Edgeware Dies. I’ve also seen tv and film adaptations of Evil Under the Sun, Crooked House, The Big Four, and Halloween Party.
