S18 is criminally underrated

finishing going through the uk series, based on the ones ive seen the most to least hype for, and i cant believe series 18 is overlooked so much! everyone has their moments of unhinged brilliance, batshit insanity/hilarity and every task has been memorable in some way (this pub quiz team task is AMAZING)

has caught me off-guard and made me howl with laughter at least once per episode and it definitely deserves more love!

what are the qualifiers (level of fame / type of comedy) for a comedian to be on Taskmaster?

hi! new fan of the show from Canada. my favourite part of this has been discovering and enjoying so many new comedians. ive gone through so many series now and there honestly hasnt been one person thats a total dud, to me, at least.

i feel like ive never seen a show that has such faultless casting. which leads to my question (which im having trouble phrasing): what makes a comedian fit for Taskmaster? do they have to have a certain level of fame and do they have to have a specific type of comedy, or does the show cast anyone who works in the genre? are they purposely unpredictable?

i see a lot of cast prediction + wishlist threads on here but not sure how realistic they are. for example, i see a lot of love / hope / predictions for YouTube comedians / podcasters, but i dont necessarily get the vibe that the show casts their net in that direction?
