Should I buy a professional-grade two-way shoe stretcher? Have you used one?

Should I buy a professional-grade two-way shoe stretcher? Have you used one?

Has anyone bought and used one of the two-direction (length and width) shoe stretchers that has little attachments for bunions (like this?) How has it gone? I was going to take some leather shoes that need targeted stretching in certain spots to a shoemaker, but in general I'm frugal and also just enjoy DIY when I can, so if I can buy a shoe stretcher and do the same thing on my own (and use it for other pairs in the future, too), I'd rather do that.

To head off some comments:

-I've used other methods to try to stretch shoes but they don't work super well for me (and in the case of using shoe stretch liquid and then walking around: it's also just not comfortable to walk around in the tight shoes for so long)

-I also just have difficult feet, so finding shoes that fit without *any* tinkering is rare

Eye doctors who can permanently remove an eyelash

I have an eyelash growing in the inner corner of my eye (trichiasis) which causes irritation and itching and rather than continuing to pluck it out each time it re-grows, I'd like to have it permanently removed. (There are a few ways this is done: electrolysis, laser ablation, etc, but obviously it needs to get done by a specialist.)

Has anyone had this done around here? If so, where? Happy to go anywhere from Springfield to Greenfield, or I guess into Worcester if I need to. Not sure if any optometrists do it or if I need an ophthalmologist.

good muffler/exhaust shop for an old car?

My exhaust system needs work and I'd like to take it to shop that specializes in mufflers/exhaust.

Any recommendations? So far people have recommended regular auto shops to me but I'm looking for someplace that focuses on exhaust system repair.

Bra30 (PJ Harlow) vs ribbed No-Yank Tank (Duluth Trading)

For context: I'm around a 32GG or H in UK sizes.

I've seen people talk about the Bra:30 by PJ Harlow as a way to get a little bit more support around the house or for sleeping, which sounds good to me. But they're expensive for what they are and I don't see many used on ebay/depop/etc. I did get a deal on one that's a size small for $11 on depop but it's too tight. I'd try a medium if there were a cheap one for sale.

But I noticed that it's just a ribbed tank with 10% spandex/90% cotton. Duluth Trading Company also sells a ribbed tank (ribbed No-Yank Tank) with 10% spandex in it (and those are cheaper and easier to find) so I'm wondering if anyone has tried both and could describe how they compare in terms of support and sizing.

How to remove this kind of vinyl window sash

I watched a video on YouTube about this but my vinyl window seems to have a different mechanism. I can tilt the sash so it’s parallel to the floor (which it is in this picture) but then I’m not sure what I need to do to this mechanism to get the whole sash out.

sleep medicine doctor recommendations?

Looking for recommendations (or anti-recommendations/places to avoid) for sleep medicine doctors for help with chronic sleep issues. I'd especially love to hear from people who've dealt with issues other than sleep apnea because that's likely not my issue.

Sleep medicine doctors when you don't have sleep apnea?

If you have seen a sleep medicine doctor, what diagnostics and treatments have they done other than apnea tests?

Asking because I'm trying to decide if it's worth seeking one out. If it will just be meds and/or CBT-i I would likely skip it--I'm already reasonably familiar with sleep hygiene/etc and my problem is not *falling* asleep, it's sleeping more than 5-6 hours (and I feel exhausted/"not myself" for it, rather than that seeming like enough sleep.)

I had an at-home apnea test 10 years ago (through Stanford--they were gonna do one in their facility but my insurance didn't approve it) that showed no apnea (and I don't seem likely to have it based on demographics) but I moved across the US shortly after that and never pursued more care. I'm now living someplace more remote and I work more so finding/going to a really good doctor would be more complex.

I see that various companies sell replacement lids for the bottles that GTs/Kevita is sold in (intended for people who brew their own kombucha in these 38mm reused bottles) and I'm curious if anyone here uses them and if they tend to trap moisture/are hard to clean?

I actually reuse these bottles for plain water but the lids they come with start to smell quickly - I think they trap moisture in them - and I'm looking for some lids that won't.
